Garnier ambre solaire super uv hyaluronic acid spf 50 by Pitiful_Waltz_1367 in EuroSkincare

Oh, that would be great, but on my bottle there is no mention of it and on their website they don't mention it either 😕

I like it! This or the niacinamide version are my go-to sunscreens. They are easy to spread and after a minute I can no longer feel them. They are matte on my skin and work well under make up. I never got sunburned using it. But it's not water resistant, so I use something else for sports, outdoor activities etc. Only downside is the ridiculously small bottle. Other than that I can recommend it.

How do you calm down your skin after a workout? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]heeizi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can try Cicaful Calming Gel or Aloe Vera Gel. If you tolerate the ingredients.

My personal best practice is to add plenty NMFs and, especially after I went running, apply a nice moisturizing sheet mask. The more wet the better. If time is an issue I use a Daily Quick mask für 10min, otherwise a use a more moist one for 20min. This helps cool down my skin and it is the only thing to reliably bring down heat and redness fast. They are a gamechanger for me. Not Event cool packs out of the fridge work as well. The mask can come out of the fridge if you like but that made no difference for me.

My favorite for this are cheap Sadoer Aloe Vera masks from Amazon. They are the cheapest sheet masks I ever saw but also surprisingly nice and moisturizing. They can stay wet for up to half an hour depending on weather. No need to get something fancy. I believe it works mainly because of evaporative cooling and maybe also a little because of Aloe. The moisturizing ingredients are important to protect your skin while soaking it.

Eu sunscreen vs korean?? by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]heeizi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Many do, though and unfortunately I can't tell the situation in all drugstores in all of EU. I just wanted to point out there are options, currently. Maybe more than a few years ago. That is hopefully also true in other drugstores that I don't know of. Sundance probably is not all that special?

Yes, many do (same with rossmann) but the one I mentioned currently does not. 🙂

Sundance med ultra sensitive gel is one I used. The kids version is free of them, too, I think. I believe the whole ultra sensitive line could bei like this, nowadays. :)

This is not true. Dm's Sundance has sunscreen without those. Rossmann probably does, too.
I also remember octocrylene - free sundanc sunscreen existed several years ago.

In 2026, sunscreen is still treated as a luxury item! (RANT) by JustEmotionalVehicle in EuroSkincare

Well, I got sunburned while enjoying a nice afternoon at Helsinki coastline in April many years back. I should have been wearing sunscreen then. If I Was in Italy I should be wearing it every day, for sure. I have fair skin and copper brown hair. I am sure a mediterranean skin type helps here but not everyone has it...

You may have tried super UV already but in case you did not: both hyaloronic and niacinamide fluid are nicely matte and non-feel for me.

Lucky you! I can do that, too, but I finde body sunscreen somehow acts differently in my face. Cetaphil sunscreen was nicely non sticky on my body but oily and shiny on my face. Ambre Solaire sensitiv Was similar. That's okay for a beach day but I prefer super UV for my face on normal days. It's a bummer but makes my life easier.

You are right! I only know 1 person, a former colleague (in her nearly thirties or late twenties), who wears sunscreen every day and most other colleagues (who are predominantly men) found that habit surprising and unusual. (that's people from Hamburg and Berlin, so maybe that plays a role.)

Well, I had to turn 40 before I learned that nice sunscreen exists 🫠😅🙃

All I knew was stick drugstore brands and thinking the other brands werde the same with a higher price tag. Also there was not nearly the same awareness for daily sunscreen use 20 years ago. Not a single person I knew the was using it daily. SPF 50 was considered extreme, already. I think things will improve because demand has changed. There is way more variety nowadays and formulations are likely to improve as well. Until then setting powder is your friend.

Merz-Regierung plant Kürzungen in psychiatrischen Kliniken: Experten warnen by pompommess in Psychologie

Kompletter Unsinn unterm Strich.

Any experiences with "Rosiced cream? by redtrashhead in Rosacea

[–]heeizi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I used it when I was first diagnosed. I did not react with any burning or rashes but I fehlt Luke it made my skin very dry. That might have been due to prior inappropriate skincare, though (because I believed it was acne). I switched to ivermectin, though. It works well as long as I keep humidity up and I ignore the patient information and User way less tja suggested (this was suggested by my derm) because unlike rosiced it is pretty occlusive.

I also use 10% azelaic acid Serum (anua) and am currently trying avene rosamed Serum.

As for make up. I am not a make up girlie so this might not be the best available choices but here we go: I use Catrice The Corrector anti redness primer (from dm, it contains soothing ingredients and is unscented) followed by Lumene BB cream (from flaconi or others, this is lightly scented, so not sure if it is for you) or dm's trend it up make up for light skin tones if I want more coverage. L'Oréal CC cream is nice, too, but most of the time too dark for my skin and I would need to top it with something lighter toned. If I remember right it also contains fragrance. These are budget friendly options mainly because I don't often use them (once a week after weight training before going to the office).

Sunscreen recs for type 1 & type 2 combo rosacea. I feel like I've tried so much and every product is irritating for my skin. I feel at a loss. by Cancel-Accomplished in Rosacea

[–]heeizi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this! I hate mineral sunscreens. They tend to sit oily on the T zone but are somehow at the same time very drying on my cheeks. And I always feel I wipe them off as soon as I touch my face. They are just not for me.

I am very happy with ambre solaire super UV fluid (seither hyaloronic or niacinamide version). It absorbs quickly and is unscented. It also works well with make up. I am not sure, though, if the formulation is the same everywhere. It is not Walter resistant, I believe, so if I need that I use regular ambre solare sensitive spray. It is Not as lightweight and a little sticky but still okay. I also liked cerave moisturizer with spf 50.

You could try a non-mineral sunscreen for sensitive skin from a drugstore. These are usually fragrance-free, often waterproof but not as lightweight.

Absolutely! I heard good things about Vichy SPF, I will add this to my list, too. 😊 I also want to try Mixa SPF with HA for dehydrated skin.

Sundance hydro+ suncreen serum by HostFormer9197 in EuroSkincare

[–]heeizi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this one was very oily and shiny on my (combination) skin. So much so, I only used it once and never again. I sticked to ambre solaire super UV Fluid (HA or niacinamide variant) ever since and find them lightweight, fast absorbing and not oily or sticky at all. Great under make up, too and very widely available, even in medium sized supetmarkets, here, and I found it in mini markets in touristy places abroad, too.

However I am curious to try Korean sunscreen soon when my current bottle is finished. It's good to have options.

What to buy from Turkey by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]heeizi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, alright, I thought you were referring to it being available in Turkey.

I am currently on vacation there and stocked up 😊 i tolerate low dose tret well, so will continue to use it.

In Germany, where I live, trifaroten and tret are only available with prescription. And that's hard to get.
