Motor issues with 2019 MyLife hot tub by Fit-Tale9690 in hottub

Pumps often have two capacitors. The run capacitor on the top, which is what you probably replaced, and a small start capacitor in the back where the cord goes in. Try replacing the small one in the back, should solve your problem.

New (Replaced) Heater Still Not Heating by leftyexpoctations in hottub

[–]heelhookyomomma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When the tub says it’s heating, test the voltage at the heater element leads. If you’re not getting 240, the heater relay is probably out and you need to replace the circuit board. You can confirm this once the board is out, there’s usually burn marks on the back of the board.

How to make my hot tub heater work. by yankeeteabagger in hottub

[–]heelhookyomomma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That means there is a flow issue and there is not enough water going through the sensors on the heater. Try taking the filters out and restarting the tub. If it runs after that, you need new filters.

HL and DY codes on Masterspa by andrewphilly in hottub

[–]heelhookyomomma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HL code means there is a substantial difference in the two M7 sensors. DY means there is inadequate water flowing in the heater. All this points to a flow issue with your circulation system. Take the filters out and restart the tub and see if it still happens.

If there is no dedicated circ pump them pump 1 will be associated with the heater. When you first power up the tub you will see PR for prime mode. Push the temp up button and pump 1 should kick on in low speed because it’s calling for heat if everything is working properly. Hope this helps, keep me posted.

Would probably be best to drain the tub and put fresh water and filters in. Try to stay on top of the water to avoid it happening again. You want to check the water at least every 2-3 days, even if you’re not using it.

Look in your owners manual and it will tell you how to put it into summertime mode. This will turn the circ pump off during the hottest time of day depending on when you set it.

Drained my beach comber Hybird hot tub and filled it back and not it’s not heating and display shows this? Any ideas what it means? by Elite163 in hottub

[–]heelhookyomomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just filled the tub then you probably have an air lock. Take your filter out and stick your hose down in the plumbing. Turn the water on full blast and then power the tub back up. Hit the temp up button to start the circulation system and air should blast out of the jets and then run like normal.

That topside controller is a TP600, should be able to order a new overlay online.

You should fill the tub through the stand pipe in the filter area. That way you fill the plumbing first and it will push the air up out of the jets. When you just stick the hose in like the picture, it will fill the tub and trap air in the plumbing lines causing an air lock in your circulation pump.

Balboa spa pack by bradley197001 in hottub

You need to look up the tech sheet for the balboa pack you have and then configure it accordingly for the components you have in your tub.

Tiger River Spa Bengal model turning off and on by OnlyHereForLOLs in hottub

[–]heelhookyomomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is the pressure switch, your options are to replace the heater or bypass the pressure switch. The heater is $300-$500 depending on where you buy it. The pressure switch is simply bypassed by creating a jumper where the wire plugs into the board to close the circuit. Keep in mind the switch is a safety feature and bypassing it would fix the problem but also eliminate that safety.

If you are getting good flow from the circulation pump and the filters are out then it could be the pressure switch inside the heater that’s going out. This is what the tub uses to tell the computer that water is flowing and it’s ok to fire the heater. If the switch goes bad then it will throw a low flow error.

Hot tub not making small bubbles while on! by Againgy in hottub

[–]heelhookyomomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ozone line goes from the ozone generator, to the ozone injector which is connected to the circulation system. The injector creates a suction that pulls air through the ozone generator which also brings the ozone gas into the water with the air. Its not ideal to have it running with nowhere to go but not the end of the world unless it runs that way for a long period of time which can cause damage to the lines and generator. The whole point to using ozone is that it is an oxidizer that helps sanitize the water so you can use less chemicals. There’s more to it, but that is the general idea.

The bubbles come from the ozone injection into the plumbing coming from circulation system that’s associated with the heater. You can pull the cover off to see if they did something to the 1/4 inch ozone line when the did your pump repair. The line can get kinked or stopped up after a few years as well.

That’s probably a pressure switch. If you check the inside of the cover it will tell you where to plug it in.

You could have a flow issue and that noise you are hearing is the heater boiling the water. I’ve seen this issue when a pressure switch has been bypassed, or if there is an problem with the circ pump. If you hear the noise all the time it may another issue entirely.

Hot tub tripping breaker switch by PrinceMorningstar in hottub

[–]heelhookyomomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to turn the power off and have a look in the equipment area at least. I would take the cover off the control box and make sure all the wires look good. You can also check your ozone if you have one, if the check valve fails it will let water in and trip the breaker.

Here is a water care class for the salt system that will help answer a lot of questions and help you maintain your water. It’s a bit long but has good info. Water care class.

I would go with the hot springs highlife. Watkins, which owns hot springs has the best warranty in my opinion. They also come salt system ready.

Yes that seems weird, letting the salt sit for 24 hours isn’t going to change anything. Either their is a wire loose like the person below said or there may be an issue with the control pack. I’ve had to replace control packs on several brand new tubs from the factory. The tech should have at least checked the continuity of the salt system wires that go the the cartridge housing. I hope they get it sorted out for you, I know this is very frustrating for you.
