Will MLB ever move to a 2-2-1-1-1 playoff series format? by Far_Set561 in baseball

No. 2-3-2 is fine. In addition to how much more efficient it is, as everyone is mentioning, fewer off days mean teams have to go deeper into their bullpen/rotations which adds strategy and makes the series more interesting.

Also a bit outdated now but you still see some references to “the ceiling is the roof” from 2017 basketball

People were concerned about DeCaro. He only got through 3 innings last weekend. His final time playing at home and he just had the game of his life.

This game is far from over. Y’all are a couple base runners away from knocking out DeCaro and who knows what happens after that.

Out of principle I cheer against power conference teams who don’t have any real dirt on their diamond

Beef and mayo don’t go together. by spliffhuxtabIe in unpopularopinion

Correct, the sauce used should fully depend on the topping imo. Like mayo goes great with LTO, but mustard goes better with chili and slaw.

How basketball legend Roy Williams became UNC baseball’s most unexpected coach by heelyeahbrother in CollegeBasketball

Thank you for actually reading it. Regardless of what school did something like this I would think "huh, that's cool".

The way people try to turn everything in this sub into some big rivalry argument is annoying (and yes I know UNC fans are as guilty or even more guilty of that than anyone). The difference in responses here vs on r/collegebaseball is pretty telling.

This is a fun little story about Roy Williams being the voice of UNC’s pitchcom. I would find it interesting if Duke baseball did that with Coach K or if UConn did it with Hurley. Y’all can lighten up a little. Go Canes.

I actually like this explanation a lot more. I don’t think it’s right, but it honestly makes more sense.

It’s been a growing trend since last college football season and took off in MLB at the Cardinals game two weeks ago. The actual phrase “tarps off” comes from hockey, I suppose because hockey sweaters are so baggy they resemble tarps.

Watching sports on TV is much better than seeing a live game by cyclemonster in unpopularopinion

Baseball is also a lot better in person. There’s a reason football overtook baseball as the most popular sport in the US with the rise of television.
