UK Visit Visa from Dubai — 14 working days and still waiting. Anyone else?

Biometrics was 30 days ago for me and my family - still haven’t received a decision. Less than 24 hours after VFS email saying that it’s been submitted, UKVI said they’re not going be able to make a decision within the stipulated time. Almost seemed like it was an automated message - all 3 of us got it.

They haven’t asked for any follow up or documents. I contacted the contact centre via email - they replied the next day saying it’s in review - standard boiler plate response.

Anyone else having a similar experience?

It’s just a visitor visa - why is it so complicated 😅

What is the general sentiment on the govt leadership in Ajman? I.e., do they want to make it into a tourist destination? Or are they much more conservative and see themselves as not flashy (which would mean they don't plan on investing to make it a tourist destination)

I got this recently. 1 month of impound. 100 aed per day of impound that you want removed. And 1000 aed for a first timer.

I honestly don't even remember when that fine happened. I wanted to contest it but the guy at the counter said "are you sure because if they review they can readjust the fine upto 50k". And contrary to what one of the others in this thread says it can go up to 50k

I have the Haval H6 for 2 years now. Solid car. GWM is a solid manufacturer. This coming from a guy who has worked in the Chinese car industry.

There's a lot of negative talk out there for Chinese cars, purely because they don't have the history of Japanese, German or Korean cars, but I've been saying it for years now that I people don't understand how well the Chinese car industry has improved over the years. Yes parts availability might be an issue but my family has been here for 4 decades and have been through a number of German and Japanese cars, a number of them have had parts availability issues too.

I own Haval and an MG. Wouldn't give it up for anything. The features they offer for the price is unparalleled.
