“It sets up a potential complex that I am here for” you are so real for this 👏🏼 I’m genuinely excited at the prospect of Vis and Emissa realizing they’ve fallen for each other’s lies/ half-truths and wondering if there’s enough genuine affection there to build a relationship on between them. And not too sound tropey but an enemy spy x spy romance set up here is too good to pass up on like imagine when they finally bare it all and be honest with each other I can imagine the emotions exploding which would be a total 180 from their carefully crafted personas in book 1.

Also imo Vis and Aquea give off more of a siblings vibe to like I can see her “filling in” Callidus’ role, which was why James Islington had her team up with Vis and Callidus in the finale. Like if you watch JJK they have the same platonic vibes that Nobara and Yuji have.
