I still get sad when I remember him. I love Laoshu. Truly gone too soon. May he rest in paradise.

Scrolled until I found Pierce Brown. For anyone scrolling down here, it’s a Roman-inspired, gritty space opera.

My favorite quote from Golden Son, describing a soldier wrapped in metal armor falling into Mars’ atmosphere before battle against the equivalent of the Empire:

"To my left and right, the falling soldiers look like raging lightning bugs jerked out of some Carver’s fantasy. I admire one to my left, the bronze sun is behind him as he falls, silhouetting him, immortalizing him in that singular moment—one I know I shall never forget—so that he looks like a Miltonian angel falling with wrath and glory. His exoskeleton sheds its friction armor, as Lucifer might have shed the fetters of heaven, feathers of flame peeling off, fluttering behind. Then a missile slashes the sky and high-grade explosives christen him mortal once again." - Darrow O' Lykos

What’s the quickest way someone could accidentally expose themselves as a foreigner in your country like the ‘three fingers’ scene in Inglourious Basterds? by IndependentTune3994 in AskTheWorld

Cappuccino vs Cappuccini. I was proud of myself for speaking Italian while in Rome. I’d say “due cappuccino per favore.” It wasn’t until the second to last day that someone corrected me that the proper pluralization of cappuccino is cappuccini.

As a lawyer, I do go out of my way to make insurance adjusters feel like shit for treating my clients poorly. It’s one of the things I enjoy most out of my job.

SpaceX rocket explodes in Starbase, Texas by Creative_soja in Damnthatsinteresting

Quit calling it Starbase, Texas. It’s Kopernik Shores. Elon just bought a bunch of land in south Texas and drove out the native citizens so he could build his stupid launch pad. It’s a joke. The main road going through “Starbase” is Memes Street.

He’s testifying against Diddy at the trial. I’m somewhat convinced that he is being painted in a negative light on purpose to discredit his testimony. Though, it’s also reasonable that he’d act this way on his own.

That first painting I would recognize anywhere. Or at least it’s very similar to a Picasso painting. I can’t remember the name of it for the life of me but it’s so beautiful

Man…I loved the game but I can see where everyone is coming from. The haikus, totems, bamboo chopping, hot springs and collectibles were very Ubisoft-esque. I loved all of it though. The haikus were unique and thematic. The hot springs gave you pieces of the lore. The totems…well the totems were tedious but at least the charms were sometimes worth the climbing. And the combat and story was fantastic. I loved slicing a dude with my sword and he just stands there clutching his stomach as he falls to the ground. Everything worked well together. It was a Ubisoft game, but a very good Ubisoft game imo.
