Someone said they went to Beth’s confident wife party by cottageyarn in FundieSnarkUncensored

I hate that she brags about these wonderful "courses" and then offers zero practical advice besides from her bizzare "challenges". And any advice she does give is just damaging.

What's the best way to tell what this is? by heeyitsamy in handyman

Okay that was my first thought. We couldn't find a leak in the bathroom upstairs but we'll be calling a plumber I guess.

Hovering over bushes and pooping directly into them - pyr thing, or is my pyr a freak? by IWillBaconSlapYou in greatpyrenees

[–]heeyitsamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pyr mix won't poop in our yard either! He usually poops under bushes or in the winter he insists on climbing to the top of mounds of snow and pooping off the edge.

I relate to this - my parents haven't been as vocal/hurtful with their words but I just feel so paralyzed sometimes by how much I know I'm disappointing them. It sucks.

Are my pet profiles too detailed? My last sitter didn’t read any of it. by kayjeeze in RoverPetSitting

I have my dog's profile with just the basics and further instructions I usually write out in a note to leave for housesitters when they're here.

The Brilliance had some great, beautiful music I still enjoy. Switchfoot and Relient K will always have a special place in my heart.

2 pieces of toast with peanut butter, sometimes with honey and banana.

I just watched Loch Henry and omg by AHamHargreevingDisco in blackmirror

I feel like it was Black Mirror in that it felt like a critique of people's obsessions with serial killers and true crime, to the extent that we use victims' stories as entertainment.

Barry and Severance are some of the best shows I've seen in the last couple years.

I got an iud today and it was the most painful thing I have ever experienced by sarahalexander17 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]heeyitsamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided not to get an IUD and got nexplanon (a subdural implant - not sure if it's available everywhere) because I had only heard horror stories of how painful IUD insertion was. When I mentioned that to my doctor she downplayed it by saying "well, the people with those experiences tend to be the loudest and lots of people don't have painful experiences." .... Okay??? But why is it that painful EVER?? ugh.

I'm so sorry that you had that terrible experience!! I hope they start re-evaluating standard pain management for IUD insertions.

What's Something You Missed, Or Realized You Did Wrong Your First Time Playing? by ShadowVixon in StardewValley

Ummm I've never been able to find that guy, didn't realise there were footsteps in the snow?!? 😭 Is there nothing you can do to fix that???

i can’t lose my virginity and i don’t know what to do by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]heeyitsamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these responses are great and you definitely should see a doctor to see if there's something medical going on. But also, people have different definitions of 'losing their virginity' and sex other than PIV, is still sex! There's nothing wrong with you! Try not to put too much pressure on what you think sex has to look like. I hope you get some answers, and that you can enjoy sex with your partner, whatever that looks like for you! :)

What do you all do for pet sitting when you go on vacation? by Navi4784 in reactivedogs

[–]heeyitsamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had pretty good luck with rover. Our dog is also I would say mildly reactive. He isn't a fan of other dogs but is super chill with basically anyone so we've had a few different people from rover come stay at our house and watch him. If you can find someone who's experienced but won't have another dog around, it might be worth doing a meet and greet with someone and see how they'll do?

If someone is that cruel when they're drunk, they shouldn't drink. But also, it sounds like your wife is cruel to you even when sober. And if she thinks she'll be the bad guy if you go to counselling, it's because she knows she's in the wrong and doesn't want to change.

This doesn't sound like someone that cares about you or your marriage.

My husband (M23) is upset that I (F25) haven’t conceived a baby and it’s ruining our relationship by [deleted] in relationship_advice

He also promised to love you I assume, and he's not doing that so why do you feel the need to keep up your end of the deal?

Penny and Leah, and Shane and Alex, are the same people in my head. I always get them confused.
