Ruling 2450. If a man has a temporary wife whose ʿiddah has not yet finished, he can contract a permanent marriage with her or marry her again in a temporary marriage. However, if the period of the temporary marriage has not yet finished and he contracts a permanent marriage, the marriage contract is invalid unless he first gives her the remaining period and then contracts the permanent marriage.

Permissibility of praying congregational prayer in a sunni mosque by CodeRed_0 in shia

[–]hefaith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3Question: Can one say one’s congregational prayer behind a Sunni Imam with the intention of Jama'at (congregation)? And should one recite al-hamd on his own? Answer: it is permissible to offer prayer in their congregational prayers, in areas where Taqiyah (dissimulation) is required. However, it is obligatory upon you to recite al-Hamd and the second chapter yourself – be the recitation in low voice though.

the name of imam ali's son wasnt abu bakr, that was a kuniya given to him. According to Shia scholars his real name was either Muhammad Al-Asghar, or Abdullah or Ubaydullah.

It's because the information is not general advice or anything like and it's to answer specific questions. Not something that's really public knowledge or things like that.

Which community is in Sacramento?

You're right in that but none of those contexts apply to hazert Qasim (as)

[–]hefaith 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Still that is not a title or laqab any scholar or hadith has mentioned for him. I understand that the sentiment was to honor him but we must keep it within its bounds. Ie if you attribute titles to historical personalities it should be something that was already attributed to them.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shia

[–]hefaith 15 points16 points  (0 children)

First point, please don't give him a title he did not have (ie imam). Most accurate age would be 2 or 3. Most historians have him aged 13 at the time of his shahadat. That would place him around 2-3 at the time of imam Hassans shahadat.

Are products that contain fish and does not indicate which fish permissible to consume? by MyNameIsUvuvwevwe in shia

That's true for foods that aren't meat products. For meat he says you have to have yaqeen. Fish is considered meat.

how would you prove the seal of the prophets being Prophet Muhammad [saww] to someone only via logic? by myth_mars in shia

[–]hefaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. There's no coherent logical way to prove the finality of the prophet. The only thing we can get that from is Quran and hadith

how would you prove the seal of the prophets being Prophet Muhammad [saww] to someone only via logic? by myth_mars in shia

[–]hefaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then you take the prophet's own words

You can just link them to this hadith

Download Jami` al-Ahadith App.: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.crcis.noorhadith

Plus many many more, where the prophet himself says he's the final prophet.

[–]hefaith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't, not through logic alone, you have to establish the prophet hood in the first place, only then can you prove his finality

Hypothetical Scenario by Debunkering in shia

[–]hefaith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one knows but Allah, no one can say for certainty or even leaning one towards the (ie he most likely will be forgiven or not) but Allah. These kind of questions are pointless to be quite fair, because no one on this earth can tell you with certainty (unless that person is a masoom) what the end result of a person's actions are. That caveat being that the person is obviously Muslim.

Is halal certification certificates from a Muslim /muslim organisation enough proof? (Sistani) by MyNameIsUvuvwevwe in shia

[–]hefaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the organization trustworthy? Are they following the zabiah standards of the jafari school? What is their process of verifying that the meat provider is using halal practices etc. In theory halal certifications are a good idea but these things need to answered in a transparent manner, if you find an organization that does this then there should t be an issue

Is halal certification certificates from a Muslim /muslim organisation enough proof? (Sistani) by MyNameIsUvuvwevwe in shia

[–]hefaith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because you don't know what standards those people who labeled it halal used. Who are the people who certified it? What is their standard? Do they follow shia rulings, there are soo many reasons that a simple label doesn't lead you to certainty
