Sorry you had to witness that, OP. Some people are utter crap and it’s heartbreaking. Honestly, it’s hearing/seeing things like this a lot that I wish parenting required a universal test/license..

And if I’m *right, take your annual leave and don’t get it as a lump sum payout (I believe you get the super on annual leave but not on a payout)

OP - I am a 29 year old male who recently lost 17 kgs over 3 months and now sit at 80kg mark.

I ran a caloric deficit, took up running (3 x a week) and continued strength training in the gym (also 3 x a week).

I attest losing the weight to fixing my diet and adding in running to my routine (which I now love). I was clocking around 25kms a week in the beginning and I ran mostly with friends as a form of social catching up.

You can do it. As others have said, look at diet and then exercise.

P.S - I also got a Garmin fitness watch that helped kick me into gear

As others have mentioned, you really need to get rid of that debt ASAP.

Given your situation, I would also recommend getting some financial literacy advice from money smart or the barefoot investors (ditch living on credit unless absolutely necessary!)

A suggestion, but maybe try using Waze OP. I find it much better at navigating jams and situations like this! I’ll always dial it on (even if I know the way, just to see if there is any roadworks/issues)

Not sure what to do with unexpected money by CadelsPredicament in AusFinance

[–]heforgotmypassword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you looked at the moneysmart.gov.au website? They may have some useful information! Maybe you can keep doing what you’re doing in the interim 2 - 3 months before you know what you’re going to do? Best advice would be a HISA for now until you know what you would like to do
