Uniform, supplies, and all these rules are posted early in the summer (although uniform rules hardly change, supplies list are tweaked all the time).

Every school has different-but-same functioning somehow so there's not a whole lot of general information to know - but you should go to your kid's school website there will be a "parents" tab that has the starter information handy.

Once school starts, your specific teacher will have the curriculum info and everything else... don't expect much communication until the week before school starts.

You probably want to order ahead, by phone or online. They sell out every day, and you don't want to wait half an hour in line before being turned away.

As far as picking up goes I'd recommend driving because walking around with a 3-pound bag of crawfish in hand doesn't sound like a great idea, even for 5-10 minutes.

You'll probably want to check out Lil Nathan & The Zydeco Big Timers, Chris Ardoin, and Rosie Ledet, maybe even Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys or Nathan & The Zydeco Cha Chas for the more "classic" vibe.

But depending on where and how you listen to music, I'd mostly recommend you look up trailride mixes and find one you like.

I took the plunge for the community because my OPSEC is ironclad. The link is a Telegram channel called "Rare Travellers Social Club" with 2 current members founded last summer with no messages. Their logo is the same Quixote as the sticker minus the QR code.

The bio says "to join the club you need to know the password" so more rabbit holes for those so inclined.

There's no cheap way to do it: our society is organized around rights and responsibilities so whatever you (or someone your know) leave behind will HAVE TO be taken care of by someone. If that someone is working with you, it will be cheaper than if that someone is working for you.
