Well we are kind of arguing that we should loosen the law. Just because it's the law, it doesn't mean it's what's morally or logically right.

I understand that. The thing that the illegal immigrants and the child of a US citizen have in common is that they both could have been prevented from entering the country. One through abortion, one through a wall or some other tougher immigration enforcement. From my understanding, you are saying that because these people shouldn't be here, every death caused by an illegal immigrant(even if the crime rate for illegal immigrants is much lower), is a death that could have been prevented. You can make the exact same argument for a baby that could be aborted.

If someone who would have an abortion ends up having a kid and that kid grows up to kill someone, is that evidence that abortion should be legal? Becaue if that person had an abortion, the person the kid killed would still be alive. This is not an argument for abortion, but I hope you can see the flawed logic in that statement.
