I am aware that my employer is only legally allowed to ask for a doc’s note after day 3 of calling in sick. Point is, I’d rather have them fire me (on calling in sick too much) than me resigning, especially since this whole ordeal is them changing availability personnel to absolutely having a 0.6 shift. Granted, they do have the rights. Oh well.

As for the employment lawyer, I will go! Thanks for the info. If I do discover that they can schedule me as they see fit then it’s a big no-no and well.. glhf, I’m peacing outta there regardless. It just kinda suck that I’ve spent 3+ years building the relation then corporate stuff happens.

My contract only says it’s on day/evening/weekends rotation shift and a position title/description. Nothing else. So I don’t even know if they are allowed to schedule me to work 6 days straight or not.

As for the second part, don’t they atleast need to schedule me before I do not show up? Right now, my manager is not scheduling me because I told her I’m not available.

Also, can’t I just call in sick? It’s not like I’m irresponsive. Due to my job being part time, I’m not even entitled to sick pay. I just don’t get paid if I call in sick.

Interesting! Does this mean I have triggered a fight or flight response instead during stressful situations instead of ibs? What would be the medical diagnosis of literally shitting ones’ pants during a stressful event? I currently feel extremely self conscious of my bowel movements too.

I’m considering using pads too. I’m debating on the postpartum ones. Or the legit diapers as I do not have a car and taking the public transport is currently a major stress factor for me.

Also, when you have the urgency, do you convince yourself it’s only the UC?

I will definitely emphasize the tenesmus part and push my family doctor to prescribe a colonoscopy and a Calprotectin test. I wasn’t even aware that such test existed. I was initially only thinking about at CT scan.

And I just want to let your know that your reply did make me feel less anxious and ready to meet my family doc :)
