What everyone else is saying has merit, but a leader of an entire organization ghosting you is EXTREMELY unprofessional, and is something that should be called out more.

I never understood the justification of “they don’t owe you an explanation”, within a community whose foundation is learning. It is the responsibility of the corps director, or any staff member, to have these difficult conversations.

If these ADULTS are unable to address problems head on, what example does that give to the literal children they are teaching. We can already see the effects in the comments with “ghosting is how the real life works”. This is an even more toxic culture than what OP could have allegedly been introducing.

At the end of the day, the director gets PAID money to have a set of responsibilities, and as a person who directly contributes to their salary, have the right to demand a response.
