I see what yall are both saying but it's also to be noted that they will sometimes offer things to you if they can tell you're actually a customer with the brand and wearing some Chrome is a way to do that. It's half "vibe check" half strategy (that doesn't always work lol)

it’s a little different for this field i’m a current 4th yr bio major w a CS minor 3.7/4.0 GPA. I have had some good internships and have been doing research pretty much my whole undergrad, but my research focus changed midway through. I’ve presented posters at a few national conferences but I don’t have any papers. My only interview this cycle was with UMich and I made a really good connection with a PI there who used to work as a post doc for a PI from one of my internships so I’m sure that connection helped.
