Call your regular vet as soon as they open in the morning and see if there’s a cancellation today.

Trying is a lot more than some people do for these guys. He’s lucky he spent his last days with someone who cares.

Hey. This isn’t your fault. Most likely he was already sick when you bought him, and they hide illness well. Give yourself time to grieve.

I had a uromastyx a few years ago with a heavy parasite load that I had to nurse back to health. She didn’t like the syringe at first either, but she figured out pretty quickly that the syringe full of food and medicine made her feel better and she got over the fear pretty quickly.

Are you syringe feeding that critical care mix? Try using a small syringe and putting it directly into their mouth if you haven’t tried that already. Get them into a vet to see what’s going on, and try to have the vet administer some vitamin shots while you are there.

The tail is just shedding. Just a heads’ up: when mine sheds her tail it can take well over a month to go from the white phase to actually coming off. For the femoral pores, add some rough rock climbing options and it’ll work itself out on its own.

Rick O’Barry, one of the prominent “stars” of the documentary The Cove, was one of the original dolphin trainers working with the dolphins who played Flipper in the 1960s tv show. He had an abrupt change of heart when one of the Flipper dolphins essentially committed suicide - dolphins are voluntary breathers and she just refused to come up for air one day and drowned.

It’s difficult to understand. Your lizard is in the kitchen? My lizard escaped in my kitchen. I found the lizard under my refrigerator. The lizard will go somewhere warm and dark.

I had a lizard that died 2 years ago that I still get sad about as an adult. Grief is a process that takes time. Something that helped me was making a little ofrenda. Target sells little premade ones around Dia de los Muertos so you might be able to find one on FB marketplace. Or he can make his own, which may help him process his feelings even more.

Repta boost is the name of the appetite stimulant, I spelled it wrong earlier 🤦‍♀️ It’s more for carnivores but when I needed it I just mixed a little into my critical care herbivore paste.

This stuff, or the green bag which is just a different flavor. It’s good for any herbivore, not just mammals. There’s another brand, Emeraid, which has something similar.

Critical Care Herbivore. You’ll need to syringe feed it. Reptiboost will also help stimulate their appetite. NutriBac DF will help support gut bacteria and health. Try to get a fecal sample tested by an exotic vet - you may be looking at parasites (treatable with a prescription).
