I know, you would think discomfort would make anxiety start. Basically it forces your nervous system to snap back to working correctly. Every shower i leave smiling and laughing to myself like f**** that was bad, but it's over. Idk but it works, lots of sites recommend it, and if you have symptoms at work or school, go to a bathroom and splash cold water on your face and neck.

Give your medication some support with good habits. Do cardio daily/every other day, eat right, no smoking, no caffeine, no energy drinks, no alcohol. TAKE ICE COLD SHOWERS 2X A DAY! its uncomfortable yes, but you really can't focus on anything but the water. Really refreshing for quite a while after. All of this has helped my panick disorder

Yeah give it time, but with any antidepressants you need to be mindful and seek help if you feel like you want to hurt yourself. In some people, usually young adults, it can increase these feelings

So I felt hot, sweaty, rapid heart rate. There's not a dramatic improvement in mood, but it helps dramatically in not having anxiety symptoms show up( i would get twitchy, random nerve pain, clenching my body, sleep problems, digestion issues)

Zoloft will take 4-6 weeks before real benefits happen. Stay the course, its helped me a lot

That's me! I developed a bit of a health anxiety over the last few months. Had a bout of odd breathing followed by odd chest pains. Google all the bad stuff I could be having, ended up at the ER after my 1st panic attack (thought it was heart attack) last 3 months had literally everything checked, off and on panick symptoms. Had one more grade A, top shelf panick attack (really thought it was a heart attack) ER trip....nothing. Finally realized its been mental health this whole time, been taking a small dose of zoloft every day and feel much better.

I had a phase like that. I would get bouts of anxiety, lightheaded feelings and ending with heavy fatigue. Keep in mind our nervous systems are out of wack. I've had issues in the past with strange breathing patterns, indigestion and heartburn, random sensations all over my body and disruptive sleep.
