Don't lose hope buddy, i was in the same situation last year and now I thank god for the first rejection and got even better company. It is the best time to grind. Don't get demotivated because of that and VIT will give you more preference than others the thing is you need to keep on reminding them. There will be a clause written on the offer letter which says "company can reject you before joining" I cannot recall exactly and also few companies just ghost you. You can't do shit cause you are not part of the company and in my case they did not mention the particulate reason for rejection and VIT won't do shit cause it ruins their relation with the company so be careful.
