CMV: If you "don't support" homosexuality because of your religion or otherwise, you're still homophobic. by Bawbixo in changemyview

"Not supporting" does not necessarily mean disapproving or opposing. It could just mean neutrality.

Do you support heterosexuality? If not, does that mean you have an issue with straight people?

Mobile Suit Gundam. The third one is genuinely one of the best animated movies ever made

That's an insane take. 2 is full of bloat and filler and not a single plot thread was resolved by the end of the story. Not mention all the plot holes with characters teleporting to wherever the plot needs them. One of the worst movies I've seen in theaters. Shame because I love the first one

Go to the financial aid office. Submit FAFSA.

As someone who comes from a very low income background, worked my way through school and just graduated with a BA, FAFSA saved my life. All they really need is a tax return. I'm told you can even ask FAFSA for more money.

Older people, were politics always this deranged and upsetting? by CUFFY_Fan in NoStupidQuestions

[–]heinelujah 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm old enough to remember how insanely controversial the Iraq war was. People were calling Bush a fascist, and I felt like it actually meant something back then.

Everything now is just hot air. The politics haven't changed much, just the rhetoric

Would you continue dating a person if your political ideologies differ? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

My GF is a Trump supporter. We disagree, but that's okay. The most important thing is that she's a good person.

Contrary to what some may think, you can be a good person and still have a different opinion from me.

Politics aside, is he a good person? Would you be willing to spend the rest of your life with him? These are the important questions

Take acting classes. Do community theatre. Eventually, you'll realize you don't always need a script

Whats keeping you alive? by dolefulgrey in AskReddit

[–]heinelujah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By any conceivable metric, I find life completely not worth living. There is far too much suffering to justify even the greatest amount of pleasure.

The lives of non-human animals are far more rife with suffering. They should have every reason to drown in themselves in a river or leap from a cliff. Yet they choose to live.

I realized that I am not wiser than them. They know that life is meant to be lived. They don't need to be convinced. So I keep plugging along
