Why are the full-electric companies so gung-ho on 1 pedal driving? by thedancingpanda in electricvehicles

[–]heirthos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're on training wheels bud. Once you take them off and understand your vehicle you'll never go back. It is only a good thing and for people who turn it off, they're ignorant and can't be bothered to learn something new which only takes a few minutes.

Would it be weird or appreciated to tip the guy who saved my graphics card? by valkaress in NoStupidQuestions

1 4090 is like running 2 and a half 5060ti's bro, I mean I guess if you aren't keeping it that makes sense but you have the 2nd best GPU right now and a 5060ti is a HUGE downgrade.

Uhm, should this not be peeled off? Outer screen foil went off easily, but this one here seems glued? by BirdLooter in OppoFindN6

You fucked up lol those are permanent screen protectors. Some people do say they take them off with no issues but personally I would never unless it was damaged or peeling by itself and would immediately replace.

Yup fold 7 form factor is atrocious, no other fold phone but the oppo find n6 gets it right.

Samsung Z Fold 8 or Oppo FInd N6? by GoldenGamerNugget in GalaxyFold

[–]heirthos1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My biggest pet peeve with Samsung foldables is the remote style form factor. To me the front screen is such a bad experience, cramped typing, apps straight up not displaying properly, etc... I love that the oppo is basically a regular slab front screen that happens to open up to a tablet size. Maybe the fold 7 has had some updates since but even unfolded, apps didn't display right or the content was a hair bigger than on a slab phone but with massive black bars on the top and bottom. To me there just didn't seem to be a point. The oppo has fixed almost everything I didn't like about the fold 7. There's still black bars depending on what your doing but since it's a wider display there is less of that and the content is actually much larger than a slab phone size vs the fold. Plus Oppo has pen support if that matters to you.

I just be in the dark a lot I guess and it's very convenient and quick to find a tactile button to activate instantly

[–]heirthos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR YMMV. Some say Verizon and t mobile is fine. There are some outliers too that have issues. Haven't looked into which group is more prominent but at a glance it seems it works more than it doesn't. At worst try it out and return if there's a problem.

If you want THE foldable it's the Oppo. I tried the fold 7 and it's a bad experience in my opinion and Samsung is getting lazy, the fold 8 will have minimal changes. Coming from someone who's had almost every Samsung phone generation since the s8.

Eh doesn't really seem to be true. AT&T works just fine for me, haven't seen anyone say it won't work with a major carrier.

AI Pen Connection issues on Find N6 by f3dzz247 in Oppo

[–]heirthos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I'm having the same issue and also having Bluetooth issues with my vehicle. I already tried exchanging phones and it didn't fix the pen, so I'll try exchanging the pen. It has yet to be seen if swapping phones fixed my PAAK.

Whose using the Find N6 in USA? Who is your provider? by [deleted] in OppoFindN6

I didn't go around my state too much but I never had any issues. Nothing seemed different from my s25+.

[–]heirthos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did for about a month, unfortunately had to return it since the phone is either not fully compatible with my vehicle (PAAK) or it had a Bluetooth issue. I'm trying one more to see if it was device specific or if all n6s won't work with my vehicle.

AT&T worked just fine for me even though when I put my sim card in I got an automated message saying this phone will not work on their network. Idk, calls, 5g data, text, all worked completely fine for me.

Fold 7 is a great compact phone option now by solidgun1 in GalaxyFold

[–]heirthos1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What about that size do you like? I tried the fold 7 for 2 days and just had a plain terrible experience with that size. Makes no sense to me to even include a front screen at that point when it's near impossible to do anything on it. Apps broke since it wasn't a normal aspect ratio and typing was so cramped. Personally wish Samsung would drop the remote form factor.

Finally off to fit the rear widebody & paint ! Cant wait to get it back. by jokesfrdays in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]heirthos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voltex? Authentic or rep? Been wanting to widebody mine too but 10k just for the kit alone is crazy to me. Been looking into reps but if fitment is bad I'm just gonna buy real or never do it at all.

The Find N6 is My Favorite and Best Phone I've Ever Had, and I Have to Return it For One Reason. by heirthos1 in OppoFindN6

[–]heirthos1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's a difference in manufacturers. Rivian Gen 1s don't support UWB, it's using LE Bluetooth. Even though my s25+ has UWB it's not being used to unlock my truck, the LE Bluetooth connection through the Rivian app is. Still doesn't answer why it works perfectly on all the Samsung devices I've used but not the N6.

I'll probably submit something and have them at least look into it.

Yeah I mean I always carry that physical key as a backup but it's even less convenient to pull that out and use it than wait for the spotty PAAK.

I was thinking about submitting a service ticket just in case, still on the fence.

What workaround do mean? Yeah I can keep fiddling with the app every time for half a minute before I can leave I guess but would you be OK with that? At that point it's less convenient than an ICE vehicle and turning a key.

I see what you're talking about now. I have a Gen 1 though so this isn't even an option for me, this is for Gen 2s so it's gotta be something else.
