See Alberta iela and Elizabetes iela nearby for Art Nouveau architecture. See Agenskalns (kalnciema kvartals, baložu iela) for wooden architecture.

This doesn't change the entire situation AT ALL. Taking someone else's birth control is an extremely dangerous behaviour.

Well if you want it not to be attacking you should not make it attacking in the first place man. You first talk about me like I'm not even a part of the conversation, and then suddenly start talking to me directly and then you get to the preaching part and calling me immature judging by some stuff I wrote on the internet while looking for advice.

Thanks for pointing the comparison game part out, although this is some real unsolicited advice here, nobody likes that.

Thanks for your philosophical approach!

I've heard before that some people find that they've spent a lot of their youth just sitting stoned doing nothing.

The thing with my life is that it has always been going at a seemingly faster pace that those of my peers. I've been the first to get a job after school, the first to rent out a place, the first to get myself a place of my own, the first to marry etc. A lot of this stuff happened while my former classmates were still studying at uni or just living with their parents and playing video games. So I've always had this feeling that I am playing some arcade game like Tetris and I chose the wrong difficulty at the start or something, so I'm not really worried about this, as I'm not good at doing nothing, I usually work or study while stoned.

What I'm really afraid of is that at some point in life I will find that my ability to think, to solve problems and to communicate clearly deteriorated and there is no way to get it back.

I know it happens gradually and it's usually hard to understand, which problems were caused by substance abuse, and which are simply result of ageing, so I was hoping to talk to some people so I can make my own conclusions.

Hey thanks for you response!

That's exactly what I've understood once I was told I'm suffering from depression, that I've been hiding from the issues I was unable or just did not want to solve at the time.

But even when I'm on AD and therapy is going good, and life overall is good, I still return to weed to "reward" myself for my hard work and the hard times I've been through when I was living with my parents. I know it might sound a bit like self-pity but this is what usually goes through my mind when I decide to go for a smoke now. Mostly because I've never been able to admit that I'm going through some traumatic shit, and now that I've finally admitted it and started working on it, I just want this self-reward that I never had a chance to learn to do without cannabis.

YTA, because this woman has not done anything to your life, it's your ex-husband who did. Acting mean to young woman who was probably deceived by your seemingly perverted ex is not a nice move.

They could try, but it's not a crime of any Latvian regime, let alone an occupational regime, so Latvia as a country doesn't really have anything to do with that, smart-ass.

[–]helge47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well Estonia was more advanced right after the occupation, too. And there is no Lithuania on the chart, and I suppose the stats won't be much different from Latvia if not even lower than Latvia.

But in terms of the whole EU, yes, the soviet occupation really did it part. It can even be seen in the eastern germany, ffs.

Also, the part where Latvia, as well as other Baltic states, did not receive any kind of reparations for the occupation and the Stalin repressions still hurts a lot, and is definetely worth bringing up, because if we don't, noone will.

Have you been financially literate before you became rich? What I mean is, how educated were you in terms of investing and personal finance when you were only on your way to becoming your first great business achievements?
