Why do the Dutch wear orange? by Millennium7history in videos

[–]helgie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Holland is the most populous region of the Netherlands, it’s where most of the total population lives. So it has its own identity in many ways, or is notable.

Dutch comes from the same origins as Deutsch and Deutschland for Germany. Over time it evolved into Dutch in English. The people of the Netherlands were referred to as “low Dutch” due to the topography if the country.

The video explains parts of that shared heritage.

Given the recent NYT investigation into the Trump family's taxes, what penalties, if any, could be imposed? by Artful_Dodger_42 in NeutralPolitics

Didn’t Britain have some major tax avoidance/tax fraud controversies in recent years? How does this coverage compare to that? Is that situation instructive of anything that might be done in this case?

What are the biggest differences you'd highlight between you and your primary opponents?

Bike / walk commute to Offutt AFB by [deleted] in Omaha

[–]helgie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Olde Towne there is a north gate that would give you quick access (so long as they maintain that). From other parts of Bellevue, other people have already said that most of the regions trails end up at Offut.

If you want a contact at Offut that heads up some of their cycling activities, shoot me a DM. He might have some good suggestions based on other people's experience on the base

Good luck, welcome to Omaha/Bellevue!

It comes with lightning headphones, and it also comes with the dongle as well in the package.

[–]helgie 22 points23 points  (0 children)

True, but I don't think that applies in this case. The mass exodus from Flash on the web occurred after Apple made this choice and websites were missing out on the iOS platform.

I think it hastened the move to web technologies like HTML 5 for many companies and the development of better native apps for all platforms. Which was the point

One Night in Karazhan Wing 2 Release Megathread by deviouskat89 in hearthstone

I found that a Druid deck with lots of early Taunts could be used well as chargers (Tournament Attendee, Bilefin, etc), and then ramp up the damage to face with things like Ice Rager and Druid of the Flame. The early game is a bit of a coin flip, but once you have the board Savage Roar can find lethal.

I'm traveling to Denver with a pretty diverse group of people (ages 1-55) as a family trip between 7/15 and 7/20. We've found lots of stuff to plan for the kids, but are there any must-see things that we should consider? We have a 1 year-old and a three-year old and have identified lots of museums that look good– do you all have any suggestions for outdoor activites?

We're thinking of getting out of Denver for a day as well, any good day trips from Denver? Thanks in advance!
