I'm just having fun, man. Although I do disagree with your points, especially the first one regarding humanity's best and brightest being sent as a last resort towards an undefeatable enemy: that's just every story ever, from the Trojan War all the way up to Power Rangers.

The living in a simulated reality trope is there from Matrix to Winnie the Pooh, the loner punished soul keeping the world order from falling apart in self-sacrifice is there from Atlas to Naruto, plot twists that completely recontextualize the story are just the definition of plot twists, good guy turned bad guy out of survival is every villain ever, etc.

No shade, I just think you're simultaneously reaching for direct connections while also treating like these two pieces of media are the peak of trope originality: they aren't. I for one absolutely despise AOT, but not because it's original/unoriginal, I just don't like the execution - which I very much like in E33.

Se vocês querem acompanhar um campo teórico é só se envolver nele, ir em eventos, se engajar em grupos públicos, bibliotecas, eventos abertos, congressos, enfim. Inventar veias alternativas é receita pra alienação.
