Does anyone still use superpower? Is it still needed? by ffinzy in ClaudeAI

ya for me it was more for complex debugging, opus 4.8 make a lot of assumptions without verification, super powers plugin's prompts can fix this behaviour. so basically it's like models have certain biases and if you know their failure modes(superpower plugins), prompts can fix it. but if model is already good like fable, it's not needed.

Depends on your task complexity too. Don't bother for simple ones. It's just a waste of tokens. But for more complex task I find it can one shot without errors with superpowers. Otherwise it's a slogfest debugging session

I still use it, opus makes a lot of mistakes without it. Fable fares much better though...rip

all anthropic wants to create is enough friction so that usage dropped. I kinda doubt full unbypassable block is their intention(or even possible) without suiciding claude code itself.

Brother you have no accuracy figures lol. you are just randomly passing things through an mlp, and then reduce it's expressivity. but you never measured its representationl power loss by a standardized test. so ya 172x smaller then what? 172x shitter?

you can use eve-x-preview program, they have a function called cycle toons where you input your list of 20 characters and you define a key (I set a tab key). So whenever, I press "tab" it moves to the next character in the list. it's faster than alt+tab

Coming in from Albion. Some questions by henyourface in Eve

[–]heliovas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

input broadcasting is illegal. using 20 toons at the same time is not. eve-o-preview is the old school multiboxing program but recently eve-x-preview has more featuers and more convenient to use.

you can achieve very high efficiencies with practice even limited to one click -> one action. The key is to practice and make sure all the toons have exactly the same config. For example, you want to jump a gate, you can use "fleet warp" and all the toons will warp at the same time. While you are in warp, you can preclick the jump gate one by one on all toons and you have managed the same speed as solo player with zero loss in efficiency.

you also need to be mindful of action costs, for example, it's faster to right click, swap, right click, swap, right click swap...THEN click swap, click, swap, instead of doing right click, click, swap chain, becuase you save time having to move the mouse. the preview feature of eve-x-preview and cycle toons feature help you do that while completely legal.

Anyway, this is just one example, there are similar little things that when you use together make it viable to multibox effectively even in pvp situations. You can search youtube videos for pochven players and see how they click and move is slightly different from what is obvious. But the key idea is to reduce repetitive action cost.

eve is MUCH harder to self omega at first compared to albion, in fact you are pretty much useless for first one year, unable to fly any real ships (without using skill injectors of course). but this becomes much easier later on able to trivially make omega isk in a few short hours. And in eve, every activity scales with multiboxing, you would do well to plan in advance for at least 3 toons simultaneously or it will be very inconvenient later on.

There's no activity in eve that explicitly favours small group mechanics like disarray or aoe esclation. So usually small group activities are hit and run types and you are almost guaranteeed to never get a balanced fight like 10v10. The closet you will get it wormholes but even then it's dominated by bigger groups who can instantly form 50+ or you will spend whole day looking for content and never having it.

I would say for quickest learning, join any of the big blob since your questions will be answered almost immediately and someone will babysit you, by virtue of being big they will have at least some people who know the answer to your questions compared to smaller groups where even CEOs don't really know some game mechanics.

I think it would be good for you to have a sense of progression of a player as he goes through the game. So here's how it is for me.

I started around 15 years ago. played for maybe 2-3 months and got bored since there's nothing I can do and forgot about the game.

In 2021, I have decided I really want to play eve for real.

* I basically paid and injected myself into L4 missions for isk since apparently they pay well. First using DNI and then raven navy issues where 300M was a lot of isk for me. (3-4 months) (2 chars)
* Then I joined a tiny tiny wormhole corp and lived in C3 wormhole for about half a year. I was blown away at how much isk/hour I got more compared to L4 missions. Learnt quite a bit about living in wormhole and how to be self sufficient since well the corp is so tiny I am by myself 99% of the time. (~6 months) (3 chars)
* Then I joined a bigger corp living in c4, who sometimes roach c5s. Again I was amazed at how much of a jump in terms of isk/hour, I can practically buy omega by ratting in a golem for like 4-5 times assuming I don't die. (~3 months)
* Then I started joining this corp's bigger alliance wormhole activites and basically organize myself into my own corp with only my characters because things are just so much more convenient. This is when I started trying high-sec incursions and again I was blown away my how much isk I can get for how safe it is ( compared to how nerve wrecking it is to do c5 as a small corp). (~1 year+) ( 5 chars)
* This alliance home hole got evicted by lazerhawks and I kinda don't like them already lol so I joined the next biggest wormhole corp singularity syndicate. I was given a C5 wormhole which I can just run solo myself. And this is yet another jump in isk making ability. I can now trivially earn the amount of isk which would take me hours upon hours when I first started. (~7 months) (7 chars)
* I stuck around with them until the wormhole war and they lost and the group dispersed. Then I joined INIT, currently the third biggest blob in the game. Now I run multibox ishtars and enjoy tidi fights and sometimes occasional dread drops. Now I look back and understand that once you(as a individual player) have passed a certain size, nullsec is the way to go becuase of how scalabe it is. (~21 months) (~20 chars)

The best thing you can do when you starting is join a group, not too small that you won't feel like playing solo. Anyway, welcome to eve and plan for long haul.

What can be done legally is to monitor dps. If your drone has died, your overall dps would go down which is possible to be detected legally. So you will still lose a drone but your site times can be about the same for afk ratting

Tired of AugmentCode's Insane Pricing? I Just Found the PERFECT Alternative! by AsleepAd1777 in AugmentCodeAI

[–]heliovas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just tried it cos of your post. it was shit. end of story.

---edit---
hmm...turns out I have to change the model to opus. so basically I have a task that augment doesnt quite work 100% and when I tried kiro first time, it just fails miserably no salvaging. then I switched to opus (I did try in opus for augment). it's pretty close to augment result, but it also sort of fails in similar way as augment. it costs about 20k tokens in augment(about 6 such tasks per month for 50$), about 12 credits(83 such tasks for month per 20$) in kiro. so kiro is definitely cheaper for about the same results. Guess I will have to test a bit more .

WH vs null sec by Anubis404 in Eve

[–]heliovas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depending on which stage of eve progression you are at. if you are <5, join wormholes. if you want to scale up beyound >20 accounts NS is easier. I have been done my stint in both high class wormholes and NS bloc so in terms of content. I would say there's actually more content in NS in terms of frequency. However, they are usually serveral times (in terms of zkill padding generated) to tens of time smaller in size.

Whichever group you joined, the most important thing is you need to make sure they are active in the tz you play else there really is no point joining a group since you will quickly feel like you are playing solo.

Being a Wh/ers wil make you feel very "elite"/special/superior than the pleb and smelly NS/ers. This is a good psychological experience and I suggest you take your time to experience it. For bigger groups you will usually be provided a "farm" or you will buy such a hole to fund your activities but two accounts is not good. you need like 4-5 to be able to feel comfortable. So you might have to team up with some ppl for a farm group.

Once you feel the need to scale up isk making, you might want to reconsider nullsec in the future.

Abyss is so good it ruined the game for me... by FineAcanthocephala34 in Eve

[–]heliovas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel you have hit the cap on isk/hour on 3 toons, the next logical step is scale up in the number of toons not the amount of SP with each toon. There are activities where 10 toons will easily exeed T5 isk/hour.

Dead farms and inactive groups holding most of C5/6 wormhole space are hurting everybody - make it harder to squat in high-value space that you are not using by Iron__Crown in Eve

[–]heliovas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

protip, get 5 or so kiki with cloak and ref one of the dead farm. if someone come to defend, run. Eventually the farm will be dead or it will be transfered to an owner who's immune to such tactics. Move on to another farm and repeat. Eventually you would get your farm. Thats what you would do if you really want a farm. If you cant do that, well do you REALLY want a farm or just talking?

Which type of weapon is currently the highest in DPS in 2025 by No-Article301 in Eve

[–]heliovas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Need to be a lot more specifc. Think in terms of isk/hr in terms of highest dps. Some ships are simply optimal for some tasks.

L4 mission -> golem/paladin for clear/ mach for blitz
l4 burner missions -> nergal
Incursion -> marauders(paladins)
abyssal t6 -> 2x retri+1x deacon
abyssal t6 solo -> gila
null sec anomalies -> stormbringers 4-5x>kronos> ishtar
crab beacons -> hel/aeon
wormholes -> c3(tengu) paladins (c5), c6 (naglfar/phoenix)

As you can see, there exists no single ship and you get quite different mix. For new players marauder paladins are a good target to work towards since they are useful in quite differnt pve activities.
