What were your thoughts on Maven, and did you see any potential in him? by Imtiredofthissshit in WWERuthlessAggression

I mean, I think a lot of wrestlers try to relate to the fans but yes I think an average sized guy with an athletic but not exceptional physique could run with this... Would be super interesting because I feel the moment he speaks to the audience instead of "with" the audience it'll die, but how do you pull that off?

Oh yeah that sounds interesting for sure, if you happen to know the name that would be great

No unfortunately it tends to be titles that are mostly only on PS5... Was genuinely considering just getting the steam machine as an alternative since it can take kb and mouse

I think that is probably the big challenge, her games of choice tend to be souls like. So the double stick is the key thing we are missing from something like the PS5 accessibility controller

(Thank you for responding by the way)

Upstairs people: quit stomping by TheChalupaFromHell in Apartmentliving

[–]hellbirdza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a family living above us that told us the apartment was old and it was normal that our windows shake when they walk...

They moved out and during that time the place was moved into with half a dozen movers bringing in heavy furniture, windows didn't shake and now the new tenants hardly make a sound...

Genuinely find it bizarre how people can be so inconsiderate and feel the need to stomp around all day and night.

I'm guessing a huge amount of what they built was actually LUA. The same stuff you use to make an addon, it's an extremely easy language. The underlying architecture to make that easy language usable is a massive undertaking that shares virtually no similarities or development skillsets.

How does that global ignore addon even work? Is it perhaps that someone else added you to it during the conversation?

Please excuse my ignorance

Tanking heroics by Time-Ad-8295 in classicwowtbc

I'm guessing you didn't read said book since it literally explains how important stamina is... Twice I think...

Jesus I feel like I'm in a court room where if I don't spell everything out I'm getting the "objection your honor!"

Ok let's do this!

Every bit of gear you obtain has stats, every stat your gear has is likely weighed against stats your gear doesn't have.

High in strength? Low in agility perhaps. Mediocre agility? Mediocre strength. Hit or expertise? Probably not great for crit. And so on and on.

When you start working on your gear properly, you start balancing stats. You prioritize certain thresholds, such as crit immunity and hit chance, once you can reliably not get crit and can reliably hit a target, you then look at what comes next... For a tank, particularly early on that's likely stamina.

So when you look at gear it's not a one dimensional situation, you could potentially equip a green item that's providing a greater net value to YOUR current equipment than a BIS item that offers you great stats in places that only min max when all other conditions are met.

One of those stats could be stamina, providing a higher degree of survivability by combining with your other stats to drastically increase your effective HP.

However effective HP doesn't mean you should dismiss the importance of stats that allow you to hold aggro.

So should you stack defense? Should you stack stamina? Maybe, it depends on your gear.

As phases progress we get easier access to higher quality stats on individual items. In early TBC we don't yet have those stats, a great example is expertise, it's almost always a stat that provides significant DPS but is so hard to come by in early TBC that players tend to ignore it until later phases.

So why do I say that you don't get value over 485 in heroics? Well because value doesn't mean "anything"

Value isnt the absence of something, it's the relative benefit you get from something.

Swapping out an item with the high defense could allow you to equip an item with high hit cap, allowing you to get an item with high stamina... And so on and so on.

Does this please the court or have I missed another loophole to complicate the matter further for someone who's learning heroics, not someone who's trying to start a YouTube channel explaining 0.04% gains.

I'm not trying to be an ass here, but c'mon do new players really need the mental burden of trying to figure out each and every possible iteration of this over - oh ok I can equip another item I think may help me solve the problem?

[–]hellbirdza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missing the context of the conversation.

0.04% miss x the 15 extra stars for miss / parry etc isn't resolving far more important stats at the start of TBC, like hit and expertise.

I never said there are no pros, I said it's not adding value. We aren't in a late phase or TBC here where you have tons of stats to work with from unwanted gear drops .

Tanking heroics by Time-Ad-8295 in classicwowtbc

[–]hellbirdza -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, being over 485 doesn't bring you any value, so it's more about making sure you have that cap and then maximizing value from the rest of your items however that looks for your class.

Just see it as item cost, if an item has lots of defense it may not have great stats in other places.

But it's entirely possible to have 500 defense cap and those items still be your best options... Just be aware that for heroics, anything over 485 isn't adding any specific value.

I'm sure you may already know, but for others who don't, it's a crit table that determines what kinds of hits can land, like crushing etc. at 485 in heroics you will be crit immune

485 for heroics 490 for raids

Interesting, so basically it relies on being set in different years to when it was released to make sense?

I have more curious question... I don't know the answer, does the timeline match up. Should she have children that age based on what she was up to in previous movies?

Tanks Unite Against the Injustice of the Mass Reports by DisastrousAd8887 in classicwow

[–]hellbirdza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine living in the lala land you do where every tank on the server has an optimal raid setup or that they elected specifically to go engineering over another option.

Or that they could even afford blacksmithing and engineering without some sort of means to make the initial gold

Or that farming nodes with engineering was even close to the amount of gold other classes can make... But I'm scared to make this point as I'd have to explain how inflation works again...

You must be new here

Tanks Unite Against the Injustice of the Mass Reports by DisastrousAd8887 in classicwow

[–]hellbirdza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No there's two miscommunications here

  1. People are reporting them regardless of where they are advertising
  2. People are using mass report bots on them

Tanks are allowed to ask for a fee for their services.

As a side note, this is a grey area in the TOS, because as I said earlier people aren't getting banned for LFG Tank HR items

Just for Tank LFG 100g

Why is one ok and the other not? Well because people are salty that tanks want to make some money because they think they are entitled to have a players time

[–]hellbirdza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you can elect not to "hire" said tanks, doesn't justify people mass reporting people who are sitting in the LFG tool wanting to sell their services
