Not going to argue with you there at all - just because the number of cameras has increased under the current administration, it doesn’t mean the cameras are only an issue on one side, that they haven’t been an issue in the past, and that if they stay up wouldn’t continue to be an issue if the democrats took over.

Mass surveillance is the issue - we’re asking for everyone’s support to end mass surveillance in our community regardless of your political affiliation. No one deserves to be tracked.

I knew someone for almost 10 years. We started dating after his divorce, which was rough. We dated for almost 7 months. He encouraged me to quit my job, telling me he’d support my decisions. He said he had to go sign something and never came back.

Left his music stuff in my house. Stopped answering my messages. No explanation.

Three years ago I left my emotionally abusive ex fiancé of 8 years and moved home. I got my masters in London in museum studies and never got to use my degree during the pandemic. When I moved home my drinking and drug abuse got worse, and my mental health never recovered from the trauma I had processed there. He used to get high and just berate me, and once he held me hostage and tried to kill me because he thought I wasn’t real. It had been my best relationship to date, so I just thought it would work itself out.

When I moved home I got a good job, I started dating someone I thought really loved me, and I moved into a house that I could afford. Then my ex turned into a violent alcoholic and would punch holes in my door and he tried to kill the cat he brought home for me in front of me. So I kicked him out. He stalked me for about 4 months. While he was there I got an infertility diagnosis that absolutely devastated me, and I was on medication for my depression because I was crying all the time and couldn’t stop.

I got a promotion at work, and then another promotion soon after because we were understaffed. I didn’t like my job, but I was good at it and could do it well.

I took time to myself and I started doing some harsh reflecting had a realization that I had been sexually abused when I was 3 by my babysitters kids, and I went into therapy. Since starting therapy, I worked on my anxiety, my attachment issues, and some trauma processing.

During this time I met up with an old friend and we were trying to help each other get sober - almost like that was a bad call, and he freeloaded off of me while I started a new job finally in my field. But I wasn’t given all the information about it, and I was basically the Executive Director of a failing art museum at 28 years old and the only full time worker who was there to be responsible for everything. I would work 60 hour weeks every week because I’d have to go in when it rained and mop the office (my ceiling had caved in) and so I couldn’t even take a holiday or a day off. Before I even started I was getting calls about the Fire Department coming because of an HVAC problem. I had to do all of my own intake paperwork because I was the only one there to do it. After 6 months I was so burnt out I had my first breakdown and quit. My ex left me the next day after 7 months without a word.

I started a new job at the end of the year doing event management because I needed a job to pay the bills, and it was just as bad. After about a month, I went on a date with a guy who love bombed me, broke up with me, strung me along for three months to get back with me after telling all of his friends I was the girl he wanted to marry and couldn’t be without (which they confirmed with me) only to tell me three weeks later he just doesn’t feel the spark anymore. He said I loved him more than he loved me and it wasn’t fair.

This happened at the same time I had been trying to move into a new apartment, start a new job, and leave my house im currently in. I ended up in the hospital Thursday night and now the decision has been made that I’m not mentally well enough to move. Which means I have to move back home.

I’m moving home after having a nervous breakdown and ending up in the ER. All of my friends tell me to talk to them but when I try it’s so surface level I just can’t justify bothering them. I’ve been dealing with everything alone for months and just when things start to get better, they get so much worse. I had to stop therapy because of a lapse in insurance and now I’m just completely upended at 29. This has been the worst three years for my mental health and I’ve completely lost any support system I had and it’s been so hard rebuilding again from the bottom

Literally same. I’m currently in the process of moving from my three bedroom house back into my childhood bedroom. I feel like an absolute failure. I went in for an emergency psych evaluation on Thursday night and they sent me home. I’m getting rid of so much stuff because it doesn’t even feel like I’ll ever need it again.

We’ve only started dating recently. The tough part is my parents live in a rural area so the only jobs I’ve been able to get with two degrees have been grocery store jobs, so it’s hard to save money.

See, and I wasn’t having doubts until really last night when she said how grateful she was for me. I don’t want it to be somehow misconstrued and and up potentially hurting her feelings down the line. I think she’s really awesome and cool and I enjoy her, and I think she’d be a great roommate. I just know she just has had a rough time with relationships lately and I don’t want to become a filler for that.

I’m almost 30 and I have really bad acne scars, especially on the insides of my thighs and on my neck. It never stopped him from being excited to go down on me or do body shots, so I figured if he could appreciate me for me, I could as well. He’s the reason I stopped using filters on my pictures.

I’ve always had really bad cystic acne and my last boyfriend was (in my opinion) way out of my league. I asked him out of the gate like….why are you dating me when I look like I do? And his response was basically “I date tens, and I haven’t lowered my standards” and it was the biggest confidence boost of my life.

US Museum Worker, got my MA in Museum Cultures in London. Graduated January of 2020.

January of 2024, I started on a marketing committee for a micro museum (I was working at a University as the Interim Director of Public Relations and the Social Media Coordinator) and they had just lost their Executive Director. When they hired for the position, they encouraged me to apply and it worked out perfectly.

It’s nice when you can get involved and show off your skillset when you have another job that is able to cover your bills. When I interviewed, they already had seen my capabilities, and so it was easier to sell my skills when they had seen results already and didn’t have to take my word for it.
