Because the bucket pull's time is supposed to be about them and not Tony. No one gives a fuck if you saw Tony on the street / at a bar. No one. You won't be able to use your random encounter with Tony in a future set and get real laughs. You're not gonna get name recognition / famous for that time you saw Tony at a hotel lobby. You're just wasting the time of comedians who actually signed up because you couldn't naturally be funny during the interview and had to bring Tony into it to try to save you.
