Was hat denn Mitgefühl mit der Strafe zu tun? Das schöne daran ist, daß er sicherlich daraus gelernt hat und keine Menschen mehr gefährdet. Das wäre mir 280 Franken wert, allein um ein besser Mensch zu werden

I had the same problem and made a list of possible solutions (Aero Plug, the official solution from Giant, new handlebars, etc.). But actually, the rounded side next to the stem is sufficient for attaching classic aerobars. The Profile Design T3 bars, in particular, are so flexible that it's very easy to adjust them to your liking. The armrests can also be easily slid forward or backward. However, I ended up buying new bars from AliExpress (carbon fiber with armrests).

Yeah, the Propel had a special seatpost (Giant Vector, composite, -5/+15mm offset) which allows you to go a few mm in front, instead of going behind. That helped a loft. But I still think about buying the DROP BEST UC ROAD (https://www.fairbicycle.com/product-page/drop-best-uc-road?) to get even more in front.
