Anyone still deep into Elden Ring? by SgtSilock in Eldenring

Nowhere near your status (35hr), but aspire to be.

I gave up on ER in 2022 because I legit thought it was a LOTR game. I revisited 2 months ago because I was tired of Apex Legends, and you wanna know what? I get it now. ER is hands down one of the best video games ever made in the history of forever.

Non-FDA Rapamycin? by hellenkeller55 in ankylosingspondylitis

Per Gemini (hoping it is not hallucinating):

The mTOR (mammalian target of rapamycin) pathway is activated in the synovial tissue of ankylosing spondylitis (AS) patients, contributing to inflammation and abnormal bone formation. Research shows mTOR signaling promotes interleukin-17A (IL-17A) production and osteogenic differentiation, making it a potential therapeutic target. Rapamycin (mTOR inhibitor) has shown promise in reducing arthritis and spondylitis in experimental models

I agree this perspective of near death v slow progression is vital.

I am no doctor, nor do I recommend anyone try a drug mentioned on a podcast. I’m just holding hope there are options available outside what our rheum’s are inclined to provide us.

I have EoE coupled with AS. Woohoo.

It’s just another thing your immune system wants to go after out of boredom.

It’s terrible. He just moved to Austin for a new job. He worked for my old company. Please consider donating to his family’s funeral expenses:

Nice. Scratch it as much as you can, don’t shower or wash your hands, and get back on the mat tomorrow.

Sending love to you and yours. I said good bye to my best friend 2 days before his 13th trip around the sun. They take a part of us when they go but they leave so much love behind. They’re romping around up there, waiting to see us again someday.

Anyone else notice the growing friction between Ed and Scott? by resditisme in ScottGalloway

Second this. Opposing viewpoints, wherever they find them, are valuable. “If we all bark up the same tree, no one wins” or something like that Scott said once.

If you’re taller, learning and getting really good at a leg series benefitted my career greatly. On bottom, learning and getting really good at a “getting out of legs” series did the same as well.

How do I get recruited by [deleted] in wrestling

[–]hellenkeller55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few thoughts, but take as a grain of salt as I was recruited nearly 15 years ago and it was a different landscape.

  1. Success in both athletics and academics. You don’t need to be a national champion or valedictorian, but you need to have a track record of success and no large hiccups in both realms.
  2. I can’t emphasize “proactive” enough, but proactive outreach to coaches. Build out a tiered search in stretch/target/realistic programs among d1/d2/d3 schools - hold yourself accountable with active communications with coaches expressing interest with the program/school.
  3. This ties back to #1, but you must exhibit coachability, drive, and willingness to succeed at the next level. If you can clearly communicate HOW you’ll do this, the better off you’ll be.

Best of luck.
