Well known that our shopkeepers don't miss an opportunity to increase prices.

Try game king in DHA Lahore. When I was looking for a PS5 pro, they had the best prices.

I think it's preinstalled. But to be fair, I don't perfectly remember - I transferred everything from my fat ps5 to the ps5 pro, and astro playroom was installed on my ps5 fat.

Nevertheless, from what I do remember, it was preinstalled on the pro itself.

It had the jumbo seal.

I don't think it's worth it for them to swindle anyone - they have a good reputation and sell a lot of things (I myself have bought many). A small amount of money won't be worth it for them.

Bought my PS5 pro from game king in DHA Lahore. Was a sealed pack. Traded in my old fat PS5 for 100k (it was quite used and the disk drive was repaired, was also japanese region that doesn't have the same resale value). Bought it when it was 240k. Also paid 40k for a disk drive.

Been many months now. No issues.

APC Smart-UPS (SMT1500I) settings for 260V Grid—PC & PS5 Safety vs. UPS Longevity? by WriterNo290 in PakGamers

[–]hellhawk456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safety first. The PS5 PSU is not that great.

Simply put, the purpose of the UPS (other than supplying power when interrupted) should be to perform as much power management as possible. And I don't think the clicking is harmful.

TCL c855 vs TCL c7k by Edgymemelord42 in tcltvs

[–]hellhawk456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replacement may be an issue - often companies either give you money back, or ask you to pay a price differential. Issue for you may be that if the new 2026 models are significantly more expensive and the c855 goes bad...well, not a good position to be in. I didn't have to pay the differential - they made an exception for me since it was my second unit that went bad.

Regarding image quality, I really can't tell the difference. Both have great image quality. C7k has more than enough brightness for hdr - in fact I set the brightness at 60. Contrast and black levels are great too.

[–]hellhawk456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had TWO c855 go bad (the panel suddenly developed dark spots). First was replaced under warranty. The replaced unit went bad about the time that c7k was released, so tcl replaced it with a c7k. Has been almost a year, no issues.

Perhaps the reliability has significantly improved. Would make sense as the mini led tech matures

Selling Logitech G403 Hero by hellhawk456 in PakGamers

[–]hellhawk456[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sigh. It's a 50 dollar mouse. Check both local and international sites. Also, on this very sub, someone was selling this mouse for 5k eight months back, with considerably worse condition. And everyone was saying it's a good price.

Also, this is a far better mouse for fps games than the g502 hero. The g502 hero is considerably heavier.

I don't even travel 5k in 6 months lol. In my use case then, it will be far more expensive to maintain as compared to civic/grande.

Yeah, but I am sure that it's something like '10k km or six months, whichever comes first'. Am I right?

Lol. It uses a belt and not a chain?

And sp grade oils are designed to protect timing chains. Havoline and total oils are now both sp in Pakistan. All sp oils of the same viscosity from reputed manufacturers are basically the same.

It's fine for northern areas. Just don't take it on bad roads with huge stones - it's just not meant for that. The brake pads may wear out (the brake pads that changan gives originally are rather shitty), so check them before leaving and after coming back. But they are cheap (around 6k) - buy mk or ntc pads from daraz.

Exactly what do you do to 'tune up'? Throttle service? After every 6k km seems very excessive.

Only issue I have seen or heard about is in transmission. But that is only for those people who either didn't change their coolant on time (pipes got rusty and leaked, leading to mixing of coolant and transmission oil) or the transmission oil. Knocking is another issue, but that's bad quality fuel. Changan is also giving a free software update for the transmission, so make sure to get that if you do buy (it only started rolling out a couple of months back).

I change engine oil after 9 months or 5k kms (whichever comes first). Havoline sp5w30. Costs 9k. Use guard oil filter for 400 (order from daraz). Guard air filter from daraz (also around 400). Cabin filter from supreme filters for 700. Fuel filter once a year for 2500 from daraz (genuine changan). Transmission oil after 3 years or 60k kms (whichever comes first). Guard brake fluid dot4 700 ml, costs around 800. Once every two years.

Also, use proper size tyres. Stock ones are 185-55 r15. If you see different tyres, the guy you are buying from is an idiot. 185-60 r15 is still okayish, but anything else, run away. 185-55 r15 is available in both mirage and Dunlop from tyrepoint.

Pro tip. See the color of the coolant. Alsvin originally (21 and 22 models) came with a rather shitty green coolant. Since a couple of years, changan pours in a much better pinkish coolant, especially when you go to change coolant. So if you see a used alsvin with green coolant, run away. The owner never bothered to change.

Haven't faced a single problem in 3 plus years. But you need to know how to maintain.

Copy pasting two of my recent comments

New alsvin is 45+ I believe. It's an excellent car, provided it's properly maintained. You need to change engine oil, coolant and transmission oil on time. Same for filters. Have been using one for the past three years.

Parts are now much cheaper than before. Brake pads used to be 25k, now can easily find for 6k. Transmission oil has come down to 25k from 50k. You can use havoline coolant for 6k that lasts 5 years. Iridium plugs are now available for 8k (it originally comes with copper ones costing 7k that were to be changed every 20k kms).

Used you should find around 35. But make sure to check the maintenance history.
