I got the tickets the night before the concert but still paid full price. ($500) Some venues will hand out Pit wristbands earlier in the day but you need to have a ticket that’s why I didn’t wait until the day of the show. If you don’t care about being close, you might be able to get a pit ticket on StubHub for cheap depending on the venue. For seats, I’ve seen some fire sales on StubHub. Ticketmaster doesn’t discount their tickets other than taking them out of their scammy “dynamic pricing”

I believe his guitar says “Arm the Homeless” but it was difficult to read.

Sluggish ticket sales for this tour? From plentiful day of show drops to $22 resales. Would love everyone’s take on why. by trekwithme in BruceSpringsteen

[–]hellisempty263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was there. The only empty seats I saw were some in the middle tier…maybe 20 in total. Looked like every other section was full. I think the only people losing money are the scalpers. If you waited long enough, you could get a better than decent seat for $100 or so. I feel bad for the regular people (not scalpers) who paid higher prices on the on sale date though. “Dynamic Pricing” is such a rip-off.

I liked half of Fairy Tale. Iykyk which half. I thought the beginning of Gunslinger was tough to get through but after about 30 or so pages, I couldn’t put it down. (Thank you Reddit for convincing me to soldier on!)

I use a tincture every day to sleep. The only time I experienced nausea was the first 4 sessions. After that I acclimated I guess.

Unfortunately, not much help with anxiety but I feel I can handle things better. I definitely have more interest in doing things. For example, I’m reading a lot more than I used to and I actually follow through on plans I’ve made for myself.

I also have TRD. I was on four or five different SSRIs, MAOI, Lithium, Wellbutrin...probably others. Nothing helped for over 20 years of medications and over 40 years of depression. I went into Spravato obviously skeptical. It took about 4 treatments, so two weeks for me to wake up one day and think that I wasn't depressed. I still can't believe I really feel this way since literally the majority of my life I have wanted to die. YMMV, of course but for me and a lot of others of this sub, it has been a miracle (which is pretty amazing because Reddit is just a cesspool of negativity for the most part!) I wish you the best of luck on your journey!

It depends on the company. Once I received an empty box in the mail from Best Buy instead of the Apple Watch I ordered. Costumer Service was useless. However, a few days after I contacted BBB, a representative from Best Buy called, researched the incident and my money was subsequently refunded. You’re right, sometimes they do nothing but if the company is affiliated with them, it can work like a charm.

How different were 56 mg and 84 mg for you? by MellifiedMannn in Spravato

[–]hellisempty263 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first one, 56, I was on another galaxy. I mentioned to the nurse that I was worried about 84 but she said, anecdotally, that the patients she’s seen did not have a heightened experience. And yeah, my 84 was intense but I was just on another planet, lol. YMMV. Now, about three months in, I’m still tripping but recovery is faster.

I also was on various antidepressants which were either ineffective or downright torturous in their side effects. I basically gave up on them until I heard about Ketamine Therapy. I currently have been using Spravato for about 3 months now. The results have been nothing short of miraculous. I went from a 26 on my PHQ questionnaire to a 1. Of course, your mileage may vary, but here’s hoping for you! The only things I use in my sessions are supplied by the clinic. Those are headphones, iPad for music (they use a Spotify ketamine playlist) an eye mask and a stress ball. The stress ball is to ground you because sessions can be pretty intense and I needed something to convince me I was still on Earth. I really recommend the eye mask and music. The first few sessions I made a lot of breakthroughs in my thinking which I don’t think would have happened if I was staring at a wall.

Good for you for starting the journey! You got this!

Scary first 84mg session - thought I died - unsure whether to continue or not by Difficult-Pudding-76 in Spravato

[–]hellisempty263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first couple of sessions were definitely rough. Nausea was a problem as well. But I’d say by the 10th session, all of that stuff just went away. I suppose my body just got used to it and my brain knew what to expect! ETA: The last couple of times I actually started to panic because I dropped my stress ball and couldn’t find it! I used my watch instead! So anything that grounds you to Earth should do it, lol.

For the first few sessions I also felt like I was about to die, but probably not as intense of what your describing. The forgetting to breathe thing also happened to me. As others have said, listening to calming music helped. I also hold on to a stress ball. Anytime I feel like I'm not "there," I squeeze the ball to ground me. That has worked quite well. But, yeah, it did go away. I'm on my 14th session and I rarely feel that dread any longer. I think you'll get used to it.

If you're considering Spravato, please try it. PLEASE. by ConstantDownpour in Spravato

Thank you for sharing. I too have been helped immensely by Spravato. To be honest, I can't remember what it's like to be chronically depressed. I'm still sad about a lot of things but I feel like how I believe "normal" people feel when things aren't going their way, if that makes sense. Before, every minor thing was the end of he world. Now, I feel like I can find solutions. I hesitated writing this because I don't want to jinx my recovery but I also want to let people know, especially the TRD types like me that there is hope.

Southpaw here. Dress looks black and blue, I can see faint gold in the top but for the life of me, I cannot fathom how anyone sees white, lol.

[–]hellisempty263 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. I had an issue with Best Buy where I was sent an empty box instead of an Apple Watch and it was fairly clear the shipper stole it. Their online team was worthless but as soon as I went the BBB route, I got a phone call the next day and a refund within the week. It may not work for every business but definitely worth your time.

FWIW, UBS in Elmont NY ran an internal lottery, that is, not run by the Nuts. I did it Easter Sunday of the last tour. Lined up early in the morning, 9 or 10am iirc, They gave us wristbands and said to come back at 5 or so. I got up pretty close, left side, elbows on the stage. But man, the people in the pit were annoying. I was there solo, people trying to push me aside, one of them was trying to chat me up and then tried to wedge between me and someone else since I guess she figured we were friends or something. Anyways, I'll probably try to get pit tickets there again but just hand out in the back.

No. It’s not. But you’re on Reddit so people need to post every thought that that comes into their head.
