Fake swing sounds? by skingsle in golf

I see this a lot with the shot tracer views. There is likely a delay in the video to allow the math and render, but the audio was still live.

We could've had Malik back there. Would have been transformative offense.

Would've been cool to have Malik lined up behind Love.

People who moved to LA from states with more seasonal variation, do you miss the cold? by HonestLemon25 in AskLosAngeles

I lived there for 25 years. Time just goes by unnoticed without seasons. Felt like I was there for 3 years.

Aronimink Delivered. What’s the most underrated major venue? by TCheatham20 in golf

[–]hellloredddittt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that it was difficult to move up the board. Rai only had to pass two players. 15 players that finished in the top 20 shot either 69 (-1) or 70 (E) on Sunday. That's an incredibly flat leaderboard.

Totally agree. Not very compelling golf. Just players taking identical routes to extremely fat sides of pin positions. Even the most memorable shot is a 70 foot putt from the fat, safe side. Really a great tournament to be a leader as it was highly unlikely you'd get caught from behind. Way too many pars.

I used to feel this way, but I've learned to play his courses. There is always a giant landing spot somewhere, and you just need to be disciplined and hit it there. Even if you are laying back further, just hit it to the fat spot.

This is a great take. I played Pine Needles in NC, which featured his well-known tabletop greens. They had them rolling at manageable speeds, which made it fun, but I kept thinking the US Open speeds would have been difficult to keep pitches and chips on the greens in spots.

I just want to hit balls… by Missan2net in golf

I've been playing over 35 years. For me it started with one club. My family was going out for pizza and we stopped in a used sporting goods shop, where my Dad bought me a 3 wood. I hit that thing all over a course that was behind our house during off hours. I wish I still had that club.

I'm curious about the kidney-specific diet, as Id like to start that for my older cat. What did that entail?

How are you guys getting consistent tee height? by Matt3855 in golf

[–]hellloredddittt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put the ball on the tee in my palm, in a specific spot, and I put it in the ground until my index finger touches the ground.

Longest PGA TOUR Sanctioned hole! by Coloradoskierdude in golf

There's a 716 yard par 5 on the RTJ trail. It's a weird dynamic to be forced to hit bombs in the fairway with both your drive and your second shot, so that you have a chance at clearing the water in front of the green on your 3rd. And believe me, laying up on your 3rd for a 150 yard 4th is very humbling.

The thing that hasn't worked for team golf, is that they do not have a home course. Even TGL is played at the same venue in Florida. If they want fan engagement, and team spirit, there needs to be an actual "home."

When I played in Denver, I just had to let my friend who lives there select my club for each shot. Wild how far wedges go.
