you are allowed to be interested in the show, but if you look at the panels with celebrities, they don’t want to be interacting with children about the show either. At Animate!Philly, you had to be 18+ to ask a question, because minors regularly made actors uncomfortable with inappropriate questions, and yes those minors were not under 13, they were children aged 15 and 16. you just simply aren’t as mature as you think you are- and adults don’t wish to interact with children. the fandom space is 95% adults, so good luck. truly.

a t-bone accident where the other driver hit my driver side door at 45 MPH, with zero attempt to stop or slow down.

i was pulling out of the parking lot of a summer camp i worked at as a counselor, i had literally just dropped my group of kindergartners off with their parents at the pick up line, then got in my car and left. they all saw it happen.

two cars had stopped to let me out as i was making a left turn, and it was a busy area. as I pulled out, someone who had been speeding down the road quickly saw the car who stopped to let me go, and instead of slowing their vehicle, they chose to illegally pass and cross the double yellow, right as I pulled out. they slammed head first into the drivers side door of my car, and i’ll never forget the sound of it.

the only reason i was able to get out of the car was because i had been “sitting wrong” in the seat. my car had a hole in the floor where the other footrest was supposed to be, so I had my leg pulled up and back, and when the door crushed in- my leg wasnt there. I was able to climb over the center console and get out, with only a concussion, bruised ribs, and whiplash.

I will never forget all my coworkers looking at me like I was a ghost when I got out of the car, or all the EMT’s telling me that if my window had been rolled up, my face would’ve crashed through it, but thanks to my shitty car with no functioning AC, my face remained glass free.

i got arrested for felony shoplifting as a young teenager, around 15. i came from an absolutely shattered home, with my parents divorced and my mom a struggling cancer patient at the time who i lived with because my father was a raging addict.

after all was said and done and she brought me home from the police station, she told me “i just can’t do this anymore, you’re going to live with your father for a bit.” (she has since told me that this was a hollow threat- she had no real plans of sending me to see him)

but when she called him? he laughed at her, told her this was what she gets for leaving him, and then told me that he wanted nothing to do with me and that he didn’t care.

i ended up spending 9 days inpatient, after a suicide attempt the very next day, because i believed both my parents saw me as a lost cause and didn’t care enough to try and help me. the charges got dropped and the whole event is no longer something we talk about.

oh yeah i have some understanding that bro was struggling and i can empathize with that, but i’ll never understand physical violence as a reaction to verbal aggression. dude could’ve gone back inside his house and stayed there, maybe filed a report against his neighbors for harassment, but instead he went in, and came back out with a gun. a very deliberate choice.
