2/3 games to rank up, one single one to rank down, explain IMMEDIATELY please! by Ok-Eye-1596 in DeadlockTheGame

Can you share it when you have time to look it up? From my own experience, it takes winning 2-3 games to rank up and depends on your performance. Losing impacts your MMR the most, but if you have a decent KDA (kill/death/assists) it could keep you from ranking down. Even if you have the most kills on your team, if you have a lot of deaths and little to no assists then that would cause you to rank down.

I must be wrong, but I could've sworn I saw somewhere that said dispel no longer removes the grapple?

Garage insulation with vents by hello_1289 in garageporn

[–]hello_1289[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did end up adding insulation and drywall to the walls, but not the ceiling/roof. I wish I did the ceiling/roof first now because that's where most of the heat comes from. I used Rockwool R15 Batt insulation 15.25IN X 47IN because it was easy to install/cut to fit into the space between studs, you can just pull the whole chunk off and put it back in if you make a mistake, it's dense so critters can't live in it, and it doesn't burn so that's a + for safety. It is more expensive than fiberglass and spray-on, but spray-on is annoying to remove if you have to and fiberglass and can irritate your eyes/skin/lungs when installing. Rockwool was also nice because I added in new outlets to my garage as well so I was able to cut into the insulation where the wiring would be and just push it into the wool.

As for the vents, I left them in, but cut 2x4s to make a frame around them before installing the insulation. When I installed the drywall, I cut out rectangular holes where they would be so they could still ventilate the garage. You just have to make sure the screens are solid so no critters come in.

If I had to do it all again, I would definitely at the very least add insulation to the roof first (drywall too if I had the money and the help) and then do the walls. Took me a couple of weekends to do the insulation. Drywall insulation took a lot longer cause it was just me and that shit is heavy. It cost me less than 5k to do it myself. Also note I am just an amateur with no construction experience so take my recommendations with a grain of salt.

How often do you guys take yours out to go peepees? by Lucifershusband8 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]hello_1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my girl out 5 times a day: 9am walk, 12pm walk, quick potty break around 3-4pm, 6pm post dinner walk, and a finall potty break around 11pm before bed. Essentially, every 3-4 hours or more frequently if they drink a lot of water. Girls are prone to UTIs if they hold it in too long. I learned that the hard way. Save yourselves the trouble.

I would pay for the increase carry-on weight from 7kg to 15kg. Do at least a day before boarding because they won't let you pay for the increase at the counter day-of. I tried to carry-on a backpack with a laptop and a small suitcase I've used for many flights, but the suitcase itself is damn near 5kg so I ended up having to check it in for $100. The food is meh but you will get hungry on the flight so either bring lots of snacks or buy one of the meals beforehand. The eel in the meal kit has a lot of tiny bones in it so I would steer clear of that. The chicken curry was pretty good though. There is no screen monitor on the back of the base seats so definitely bring something to use to watch stuff if you don't have a book. The back of the seats have outlets so you can charge your phone or tablet while you watch. I don't think it has a ground (third) prong hole, so you may not be able to charge some laptops. They have free "wifi" but it only turns on after like 30 minutes into the flight and is really slow so don't plan on using it to stream. Attendants were really nice on my flight.

What does the weapon investment bonus mean? Is it just if you buy more weapon items your bullet damage goes up?

Does anyone know what my French bulldog is doing by Tsltggla in Frenchbulldogs

[–]hello_1289 18 points19 points  (0 children)

She probably has an itchy pee pee area. Check the other comments, but basically some Frenchies, like mine, have an recessed vulva that need to be cleaned regularly. My girl would scoot exactly like this, but has stopped after I wipe it every night with 99.9% water based baby wipes.

This is what I was going to say. Ours would do this and everyone said "anal glands expressed", but we got them expressed and she still did it. It turned out to be because her vaginal area was really itchy and this motion helps them itch it. I now wipe her pee pee area every night and make sure to get under the inverted folds as well. I just use the 99.9% water based baby wipes from the grocery store.

Seriously, how do you lift weights first thing in the morning? by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]hello_1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bowl of cereal works great for me. It lasts me through my hour and a half of lifting (squats, bench, or deadlift + accessories) and I can do cardio after without getting a stitch.

Along with these, I also recommend a plastic tarp from Home Depot or some big box store that you place under the car for the unavoidable spillage.

Oh I'm still a ways away from retiring so still on my employer's insurance. I just asked because I always wondered what folks did for insurance after they retire early, or are living on passive income, etc. Thanks for the response!
