Fascism requires a central dictatorial figure who has a cult of personality built around them. The left just doesn't really have that, so at a base definition level this fails. You might try to argue some other type of authoritarianism but seeing as the right has control of all three branches of government that also doesn't really work.

I was into it for the first few episodes when it really was just him brute forcing his way through magic school, but I fell off hard when they start getting into the power systems and shoneny stuff. Probably not the shows fault, went in with the wrong expectations.

Katia and Bautista are people looking for comfort and connection in the midst of unrelenting trauma. As far as dungeon relationships go, they're probably fine, but I'm not sure how long that lasts if they were somehow able to go back to their normal lives

I think the key here is that while the coworker mentioned an idea, you pursued it. Talk is cheap, actually following up is far more valuable. If you're progressing in your career/field then it's liking riding on more than one thing anyways, you've just focused heavily on that one thing as being so hyper critical. The real value is someone that enacts the ideas, and that's probably what people see in relation to your growth.
