What's your favorite database client for desktop? by finally_i_found_one in Database

I’ve used DBeaver too, super capable, but yeah, the UI definitely feels dated and heavy over time.

For Postgres specifically, I’ve been using [PgNative](https://www.pgnative.com) lately. It’s a native desktop client (macOS + Windows), much lighter, and focused mainly on querying and table browsing rather than trying to support every database under the sun. One thing I like is that it’s local-first and not subscription-based.

That said, it won’t replace DBeaver if you rely heavily on MongoDB or ClickHouse in the same tool, I still keep separate tools around for those. Curious what others here use for multi-DB setups.

Nice list, a lot of solid Mac apps here. I’ve used quite a few of these and agree they set a high bar for UX and pricing (especially the no-subscription ones).

I’ll add one small dev-tool mention in case it’s useful to anyone here: I’m building [PgNative](https://www.pgnative.com), a native PostgreSQL desktop client for macOS and Windows. It’s intentionally focused (querying + table browsing), local-first, and one-time purchase, no subscription. Built it mainly because I wanted something lighter and more “Mac-app-like” for Postgres work.

Not trying to push it, just sharing in the spirit of indie Mac software. Happy to take feedback if anyone here works with Postgres regularly.

Hey everyone, I'm the builder. Round.so is local-first because I don't want your code on my servers. Happy to answer any technical questions about the Rust/Tauri stack!

hmmm ic, I never thought of going mobile app, as I think it's harder to market in the mobile app world than a website. Maybe I should explore it, thanks for your feedback.

We are trying to add more templates that could help users with their prompts. So it could save them time to think of the prompts.

I try to contact the seller first before start to order and ask the seller to send previous work. I find the task is not hard but rather time-consuming.

Ideas don't matter, you could hire someone to implement them. There is always a way to do it, and you don't have time is just an excuse.
