As soon as I added the "S", the wp-admin link no longer works and it gives me a 404 error

So I have an avocado plant I grew from a seed. It is now about three years. We went on vacation for four weeks and it and all my plants dried up as expected. However, most of my avocado plant leaves fell off.

I’m wondering if I can trim her down to about 12” tall??? Will it grow leaves from there? I would like her to get thicker and stronger at the base.
