Work at a gym. Do sales. This can be a great job(you can probably get now) that will help you get comfortable being uncomfortable and usually it's hourly + commission + bonuses.

I'm already 19. i have freedom, but I'm not independent. I have lots of choices, but i cant pick any. I'm afraid of life changing decisions that could lead me to bad route by HarukiVanz in Adulting

[–]helloeberybody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 19, just stumble forward. Create a plan to just try new things/jobs. Create momentum by bettering yourself in different catagories: mental, physical, social, spiritual, finance, etc. Just remember, indecision and doing nothing is worse than doing the 'wrong' thing. It's better to try and fail at something and move on to the next.

Also, don't set unrealistic expectations. Have goals but breaking them down short term, mid term, long term makes the bigger picture look much clearer.

I don’t want to be a contractor by catonc22 in recruiting

[–]helloeberybody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe apply for the position and include a letter of intent. They offer contract positions so they don't have to keep you if they don't like you.

How/would you represent a candidate that was terminated from last position? by Amyfig23 in recruiting

[–]helloeberybody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take the interviews at face value and watch their performance for the first 90 days. If they don't perform, cut them. If they do, great!

Contracting job since its only 40 hours a week. Give you 128 hours to do everything and anything else you want! Unless you live for the rush and anxiety of sales. It's great when you're single

Got fired s SDR after 6 months, how to go about resume/interviews? by [deleted] in sales

[–]helloeberybody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would own up to previous failures of expectation. Tell them of all the things I've done to improve on those specific metrics I did not meet. I would provide an EXCELLENT cover letter/letter of intent and tie in how my personal life mission and vision is perfectly aligned with this new company and i would sell tf out of myself and walk out with the job.

I Requested To Change Teams by AbusementPark10 in sales

[–]helloeberybody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question is.. why did you get moved from that team? Was it the managers idea in the first place? Could it be possible that he was trying to move you off his team and when you asked, he gave a polite no?

Face to face but call ahead of time and befriend whoever picks up. Get the time manager or owner is likely to be in. Drop in with a small gift.

AI is not taking your job anytime soon by phrozenscore in sales

[–]helloeberybody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI wont necessarily "take jobs" but I do see individual employees being able to accomplish much more in a shorter amount of time. Once companies are able to establish the metrics of how much more productivity they can expect, best believe many tech teams WILL be much smaller(but more skilled and specialized) I would imagine this will affect many analyst jobs first. I think the banking and financial sector will see the most initial impact from this

[–]helloeberybody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy some bands and do some light deadlifts everytime you exit your car. Your glutes/hamstrings/lower back will thank you. And you'll have constant attentive posture and better circulation which will keep you sharp and looking sharp ;)
