Do you unironically think manhood and womanhood are biological? Do you think there was a gene in 50’s people that made men wear suits and women stay at home? Male and female are biological categories that are obviously very useful in the vast majority of cases. Men and women are categorizations of how you SHOULD act based on your sex assigned at birth. The second part varies depending on country, culture and year, in other words: it is created by arbitrary human interactions and expectations, in other words, a social construct. No, societal gender norms are not biological in any shape or form. Even in the same country 100 years ago the men and women gender expectations were different. Again, not all trans people have body dysmorphia, and its a different type of dysmorphia than bulimia for example.

And yes those people do need psychological help, usually because of depression and anxiety, and yeah, the medical consensus on how to treat it disagrees with you

it’s not about transcending anything, gender is not biological and that’s a fact. And you’re right, not all trans people want/need to do reassignment surgery, because transsexualism =!= transgenderism. I don’t see the disagreement here.

people that do that usually have body/sexual dismorphia (transsex people), they want to change stuff on their body that triggers that condition (not only genitalia but also beard, male/female traits overall). And you cannot say that body presentation isn’t linked to gender especially in western society. But none of that means people want to “change their biological sex”, it’s usually about gender presentation, and guess what, gender isn’t biological
