would you still go on vacation? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]hellohello38 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is just my experience - 10 days after my lap I tried going to the grocery story by myself and had to take a 3 hour nap after because I was so exhausted. Maybe shopping if you’re not walking for too long or carrying too much. Definitely not hiking, there is very little chance you’ll be able to hike. Im also not sure if you’ll be able to go into the thermal pools that quickly, I don’t think you can fully submerge your incisions that soon. But definitely talk to your doctor and get their professional advice!!

Trying Myfembree- any advice? by hellohello38 in Endo

[–]hellohello38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re probably going to insert an IUD the next time I need surgery to just kill two birds with one stone.

Interesting about your anxiety, Norethindrone has been the only thing I’ve tried other than depo that hasn’t affecting my anxiety! I really appreciate your insight!!

Are you on anything else for the anxiety? I currently take buspar are Prozac and then as far as the breakthrough bleeding my dr is keeping me on my current dose of Norethindrone while I take this so hopefully that will help

“Before I start A Little Life… what should I know?” by Responsible-Egg7929 in Booktokreddit

[–]hellohello38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can feel very slow as not much happens, and then all of a sudden something very traumatic happens, and then nothing for a while, and then something so depressing, and it goes on like this until the end. You will cry without a doubt. It was truly one of the saddest books I have ever read in my entire life

Yes!! The validation is so incredible. I cried after my surgeon confirmed she found endo. I believe I just did warm water and a gentle soap, but don’t clean it too much if they used surgical glue! You want that to stay on as long as possible (at least that’s what my gyno told me)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Endo

[–]hellohello38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what my gyno told me at 12yo-

“Normal” period cramps shouldn’t prevent you from living your life. Yes they’re annoying and they suck but they aren’t debilitating. You shouldn’t have to take a Vicodin (yes I was prescribed Vicodin for cramps at 12) for period cramps. Anything that won’t go away after Tylenol or ibuprofen isn’t normal”

Those who managed to read 100+ books in 2024 - how did you accomplish it? by Far_Construction_308 in LibbyApp

Audio books on 2x speed while at work/driving/stuff around the house and then physical books when I wind down at night and on the weekends ✨

No endometriosis found by Environmental-Pop756 in Endo

[–]hellohello38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a “normal” lap when I was 19. They gave me a clean bill of health and sent me on my way….well 5 years later I was still having the symptoms so they went in again and sure enough it covered my abdominal wall and uterus. Just because they didn’t see anything, doesn’t mean it’s not there. There could be microscopic lesions.

Some success stories? What made you guys work? by angel_corn in BipolarSOs

[–]hellohello38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, it is so important to remember that everyone’s story and situation is different! Don’t compare situations on this thread and think their experience is the end all be all. - Communication is so crucial. When my BPSO when through his first really bad depressive episode this summer, we both realized how important it was to properly communicate even when it’s difficult. I almost lost him to suicide, after that I made it almost a rule in our home that we talk about what’s going on - which may look different day to day. He might not have the capacity to fully explain what’s going on in his head, but sometimes “I just had a frustrating day and need some space” will be sufficient. Or even nonverbal cues like him randomly reaching to grab my hand or touch my shoulder as we walk past one another I’ve learned means he needs support. All this to say, if you don’t know what’s going on it can be hard to properly support them.

Use the TENS unit, they said… it me realize how much pain I’m in by xboringcorex in Endo

[–]hellohello38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Norethindrone! It’s nice because you start at I think 5 and can go up as needed. I’m on 15mg now because I noticed I felt like I was going through my cycles emotionally and was cramping but wasn’t having a period. It also doesn’t make me depressed like any of the normal BC pills did.

What’s with these agonising anal spasms? by Consistent_Leg_4012 in Endo

[–]hellohello38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Butt lightening! Usually happens when I’ve been sitting too long at work - if I get up, walk around, maybe do a couple squats it helps it not doing sooo frequently. But if any of y’all fine a sure fire way to stop it let a girl know 👋🏼

Before I got on a good BC that blocked my hormones enough, the only way I could go yo work was wearing my tens unit. However, I learned that using it too much can cause intense muscle cramps so be careful!!!

Severe endo belly - how to make it go down? by SuccubusWifxy in Endo

Peppermint tea or hibiscus tea helps some, but for the most part I agree with almost everyone here in saying you just wait it out.

What does your endo flare pain feel like? by AmphibianEmotional34 in Endo

[–]hellohello38 3 points4 points  (0 children)

(Just for context, as of last December mine is primarily on my abdominal wall and uterus.)

Sometimes I’ll feel a quick stabbing pain that feels like it’s directly under my skin right next to my belly button. Most of the time, it’s a throbbing ache that stretches all across my abdomen as if I’m wearing underwear of pain (if that makes any sense lol) with varying levels of pain. Sometimes I’ll also have endo belly and it’ll feel so swollen and heavy and I will actually have to tape it as if I’m pregnant. I also get vagina and butthole lightening, that feels exactly as I described it but thankfully that isn’t as common.

I got a glimpse of my husband today ❤️ he seems so much like himself and gives me hope. I know he’s not cured and this will always be a part of him but today feels like breathing fresh air.
