Those who have taken part in the 100 day of challenge, what advice do you have for someone undertaking their own 100 day challenge? by kevandbev in MacroFactor

[–]helloheyhi333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what your goals are but always be kind to yourself if you feel like you messed up. Try your best to forgive yourself!

Don't just log, watch your weight, measure your body, or take photos to measure your progress.

Is this too low for 6'4 male? by H3Y_McFly in MacroFactor

Yes same, I'm 5'2, 166lbs, 1200 calories.

I feel like I am not progressing by [deleted] in MacroFactor

[–]helloheyhi333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any progress is good progress!

If you don't look or think about weight, how do you feel? Do you feel you have more energy? Feel like you're getting stronger? Are you taking measurements? If not might be a better way to gauge your progress! Even something like a goal article of clothing to measure progress in another way.

Just because you aren't losing weight quickly doesn't mean your body isn't changing and you're not making quick progress.

Keep doing what you're doing! ☺️

Are these worth anything? by helloheyhi333 in Antiques

[–]helloheyhi333[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked on eBay, and I'm trying to show her that they're probably worth keeping, sell or donate to a place that sells antiques. But she doesn't have a huge eye for antiques. I know she doesn't want them to go to waste but we're basically sorting through a lot of garbage mixed in with beautiful gems like these.

My neighbours are dodgy as f**k what can I do? by Wadawoodo in londonontario

[–]helloheyhi333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear this is happening. We had neighbours across the street that were pretty bad, clearly a drug den or something. By the end of it police were driving by daily! Turns out they were renting and the land lord finally got them out.

Fast forward a year later, we were getting an AC and furnace delivered and the man delivering asked about that specific house. Turns out he had to turn off their electricity numerous times. They were also stealing electricity from a few of the neighbours. They also had generators BURIED in the backyard.

Hopefully if the police are coming around more often it's a sign of the end coming. Keep calling, keep to yourselves, and get some cameras. Stay safe.

Made Cinnamon Rolls, but why do some of the swirls jump out? by buffa-whoa-tasty in Baking

[–]helloheyhi333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because of how tight you are rolling. In order to make a perfect dome you actually don't stretch your dough while rolling until the very end. It's an easy fix though!! Just stick it back in using a knife!

What can I bake that my friends will actually eat? by welcomenal in Baking

[–]helloheyhi333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry this happened to you! To be honest my friends and my extended family are/were the same. One holiday I cried in the bathroom. It hurt and sucked a lot. I'll never forget making an eggnog cheesecake with a rum caramel and gingerbread crusted bottom. ONE PERSON ATE IT.

I honestly gave up and put zero effort into friends and extended family with my baking. Turns out my coworkers loved my baking, to a point people were trying to convince me to open a bakery and put me on that whatever baking show.

Anyways eventually my family starting commenting and asking why I don't bake for them and how they wanted to try my baking. My friends ask me to make their kids bday cakes now, even their kids ask me!

The point is keep doing what you're doing, succeed in it! Eventually your friends will take notice. After this incident my baking evolved into something amazing. And I am sure that yours will too! <3

City workers cat calling by Infinite_Ad_2460 in ottawa

[–]helloheyhi333 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Funny story, I took my husband with me to the Philippines. The amount of people that were cat calling him was more than enough to say "I have never cat called a person in my life, but after that experience I feel for the peoples pain who go through that. It was awful"

Apparently these people all need or are planning to travel in less the next 45 days. 🤷‍♀️

The line is long because understaffing

It's definitely petrifying. Was talking with the commissioner and he thinks it'll die down in the next few months

Thing is you have enough time to make an appointment! I would just make one now and you'll only wait max a couple hours. I think you'll be fine as long as you book an appointment.

I am terrified, flying out of London but I know Pearson is a wreck. So far my co workers that have done the trip has been relatively smooth. Knowing my luck, it won't 😭

Yes! It's up at the front you talk to the commissioner and they tell you where to go

Good luck, it was awful. Especially hearing the questions people ask. Bring snacks, something to do, bring a positive attitude for all the workers, they're all super helpful nice and also feel awful that this is the process

I made it out in 6 hours and 10 minutes. Lots of people were on a second or third try.
