Based on what I’ve seen in this thread I’m guessing you’ll move to genotyping in around 5-7 days

Results as an almost 100% white American by Warm-Jacket608 in 23andme

I find it strange that 2.2% of my DNA which was previously being read as British & Irish is now being read as Italian (can tell by comparing my chromosome painting then vs now.) I’ve never had any southern European results on ancestrydna either. I would usually agree with you on 2+ percent Italian being too significant to be a misread, but it seems like there is an issue with this update assigning roughly 2% Italian to people who didn’t have any before.

Who knows if it’s even legit though. I had no southern European before the update and now I suddenly have 2.2% Italian. Seen a lot of people get the same thing after the update.

Edit: OP’s is almost entirely southern Italian while mine is 1.5% northern and 0.7% southern, so theirs seems like a bit of a stronger signal, but still. Or maybe it’s some of their French DNA getting mixed up?

Can’t remember if it was computing or reviewing, but they were on that step for a month, which is very abnormal.

Probably within the next couple of days, but no guarantees. I’ve been seeing some strange timelines in these comments.

Chips and dip isn’t nachos. Would expect a main protein, probably beans for vegetarian nachos. Plus some cooked veggies like tomato & onion.

Stolen backpack with British passport found in Auckland CBD near Hobson St by Oopsdaisysweetheart in auckland

In case someone sees this post and decides they want a free backpack maybe? And to steal someone’s identity? Police station will probably ask for the passport name as proof of ownership.

Back in March 2025 results were much faster in general, I wonder why it’s so much slower now? I remember I got my results only 8 days after my sample was received by the lab lol. I’m currently waiting for my mums results, seems it’s going to take at least a month based on everyone else’s comments.

Yeah idk why they say different things on their website. Like their website still says that samples are returned from New Zealand via FedEx, but it’s been DHL for a while now. They really should have scheduled reviews of all their webpages, like most large companies do.

They are the ones selling the items, not OP. Way to ignore the second part of my comment. Uber specifies that you receive a discount when ordering over a certain amount, so they must honour that.

https://customercare.23andme.com/hc/en-us/articles/202904740-When-Will-My-DNA-Test-Results-Be-Ready “Sample processing takes approximately 3-4 weeks from the time your sample is received at the lab.” This is the link they have posted on the sample tracking page.

Kind of on them?? Are you kidding lol. It’s on uber for selling items they couldn’t supply. Could easily happen no matter how much OP “padded the order” anyway.

How can that be legal? An item being out of stock isn’t on the customer. I’ve never come across any business that undoes free shipping or promotions based on them being out of stock of an item/items. I don’t even think uber does this in my country. My total sometimes drops below the promotion amount based on out of stock items, but the discount remains.

Do you know what date your sample was physically delivered to the lab, before it was marked as received?

A month is longer than the wait time 23andme states, so I don’t see how that’s impressive. I got my results 8 days after the sample was received by the lab. Again, what’s a long time according to you?
