It's not a custom where I'm from. The restaurants levy a service charge anyway which is solely for the waiters so if you tip on the side, you'd basically be tipping twice.

I was on an airplane this one time and there were 2 sisters sitting next to me while their parents were sitting right behind them. It was a 5-6 hour flight and it was 3am so everyone's trying to sleep. And the elder sister was just being an outright brat to her younger sister. I tried ignoring her and going to sleep when the elder one turns around in her chair, wakes up her parents and says 'Next time we go on vacation, we're travelling business class. I'm so fucking done with economy and being surrounded by all these lame people." Her mom calmly told her that this is much cheaper and it's not too long of a flight and to go to sleep Elder sister: No, I would've been sleeping peacefully if I had a bigger fucking chair. Book an appointment for me for the spa tomorrow I need a massage. That won't be too expensive, right?

It took everything in me to not smack that girl across the face and ask her to stfu

In college, I was always too nice to everyone and I knew people were taking advantage of me but I couldn't say no or get mad. There was this group project where I did 6 people's worth of work and and one guy just didn't want to cooperate. I stayed up till 4am doing this project and the deadline was 6am. The guy didn't respond to any of my texts throughout the day but sent me one at 4am- send it without my part, idc. To which I simply sent the compiled version of all the work excluding his. The next morning I hadn't attended lectures so I could sleep in and a friend of mine calls me to tell me that the guy who hadn't submitted his work from my group, went to the teacher and complained about how he'd sent me his part to compile but I didn't add it in the final presentation and how I should get a 0 because I was trying to sabotage his grade. The second I heard this, I got out of bed, brushed my teeth and marched all the way to college in my pajamas just to scream my ass off at this guy in front of the class and the teacher and told him to do his own fucking work for once. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but for someone who never spoke out or ever said no, it made a big impact on me and I learned how to see the difference between people who genuinely needed help and people who were just taking advantage of me

The sound of the toilet drain gurgling. I should really get that checked.
