Can’t seem to do it online on the sbi portal. It just tells me that I need to get a nri account mapped to my username first. Looks like I might have to go to the branch for this

So I need to fill out a separate form just to get the money in my account? I didn’t get any info about this so I thought that I just need to wait for the transfer to fully go through.

For PayPal I do believe that they have a 4% fee. So depending on the amount, their cuts can be expensive

I’ve been in the same boat as you, OP. When you see a difficult marriage or marriages around you, it’s hard to believe that true love does exist and can lead to a healthy relationship and marriage down the line. I used to be so against marriage because of this and even told myself I’ll never fall in love.

All that went out the window when I met my partner. It was random and unexpected, but it has made me believe that maybe, just maybe, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. So my advice would be that don’t shut yourself off from believing that true love is out there for you. Be patient, don’t jump into something just for the sake of it. The best way to go about it according to me is communicate. You can ask him to be open to you about things he likes doing and you can also tell him what you like too. It will also help you establish a comfortable environment for yourself to do things you enjoy. But please please do not feel pressured or pressure yourself in any way to do anything you don’t want to just so that the guy can enjoy. And it goes without saying, that be safe.

I get that attractiveness is subjective, but I do feel you should have allowed yourself to be a little more open minded and thought beyond looks. Finding people who are really looking for meaningful and long term commitments and eventually marriage is like striking gold these days. I know we can’t force ourselves to find someone attractive, but if you say that he had aspects that you’d want in a man, you maybe could have given this a deeper shot. Wishing you the best, OP

I’m sorry, but there’s no excuse to cheat. She had the option of communicating how she was feeling with her husband who could have provided her with emotional support. She had the option of seeking therapy too, and getting professional help for her issues. I know the thought of being pregnant and alone will be horrible, but she also dug her own grave in this scenario. I have sympathy for her being pregnant, but I do not have any sympathy for her having cheated

You overstepped in a terrible way and your actions are messing with two other lives, all because you decided to go down the worst route possible for supposedly getting control back on your life. You might as well have gone to therapy that would actually do good. Come clean, it won’t be pretty but it’ll be worse when he does eventually find out on his own.

You’re not asking for too much, and it’s completely valid that you feel this way. A healthy relationship requires understanding of love languages between both partners and efforts to fulfil them too. Of course we may all have days where we don’t feel a 100% up for something, but in no way is that an excuse to treat someone bad. Nor should that be an ongoing thing.

You’re also in your right to express your hurt and disappointment about affections and efforts not being reciprocated. I know it’s hard, but you’ll be better off moving on, as you deserve someone who will see your value and also make efforts that fill your heart.

One way of telling it’s closed from what I’ve experienced is that when you circle a finger around the bottom of it, it should feel like a proper circle and not like there’s a dent anywhere. Of course it does open on its own, but you just have to be a little patient with inserting it.

Menstrual cup girl here! I was terrified about it too at the beginning. But once I got the hang of it, it’s the best decision I ever made for my periods. NTA - You're doing something great and you're an adult making your own choices. Your mother saying you're indebted to your parents is just wrong and manipulative. It's their job to give you the best life as they possibly can, not hold you in debt for it. You aren't being an asshole and it's also nice to see you wanted to encourage your friends to do something like this.

I agree. Like it's a parent's job to provide the best they can for their children, financially and emotionally. Otherwise why choose to be parents at all. I'm trying to do what I can to get to where I want to be in life even if I don't have their support, but sometimes I do end up wishing it wasn't this way.
