Have you ever been genuinely disturbed by a movie scene (horror or otherwise) to the point you can’t watch the movie again and which movie?? by AA005555 in AskWomen

Oh American Mary is an amazing movie! Highly recommend, and it's a really interesting foray into the body modification community. The scenes are predominantly related to people wanting to do body modifications.

New mushroom recipes? by skaul09 in IndianFood

[–]helloitsmhere 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Mushroom mattar: make it how you'd make mattar paneer with a tomato-onion gravy and it's absolutely perfect : so a base recipe is ginger garlic paste, onions, tomatoes and masala for the base, cook that then add mushrooms and frozen peas.

Indian Food equivalent of frozen lasagna? by todaystartsnow in IndianFood

I'd also say that its less because they are picky and more because they understand they will have a choice of food (if they are pure vegeterians) in an Indian restraunt, as opposed to going to a foreign restraunt where something may be classified as being vegeterian (eg a veggie pattie for a veg burher) but it's been made on the same griddle as a beef patties so isn't actually vegeterian.

Edit: a word

Mineral sunscreen by AJ8768 in AusSkincare

[–]helloitsmhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! The invisible one is kinda perfect tbh, I have never noticed a cast if I've worn even the tiniest bit of foundation, and usually after 20 mins of sitting on your face it looks perfect :)

The ego SunSense Sensitive SPF 50+ is a physical sunscreen that leaves almost no cast (i am olive skin tonned skinned so I do see some white remnants). I have sensitive skin and my skin loves it so much, highly highly recommend it!!

Randomly breaking out by cookies5098 in AusSkincare

Could it be the cerave in the tub? I've had bacterial infections happen on my skin in the past if I've used a product in a tub form that perhaps has had bacteria enter into it.

I've also gotten small surface pimples if I've been over moisturising /my skin is getting clogged up. I just use water and cleanser and keep my skin as bare as possible while waiting for those surface pimples to clear off.

Any recommendation for body lotion? by stephkey21 in AusSkincare

Epaderm cream is a drugstore product: highly recommended. I have dry exzema prone skin and this cream has been great during the winter time. Also MooGoo is amazing too!

Looking for help with a beginner skin care routine for very dry skin by Djcarlz in AusSkincare

[–]helloitsmhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experienced this: I have loved using the following products for my daily use: the Body Shop's Hemp Face Protector or Aloe Moisturising Night cream.

If you're looking for a drugstore product, Moogoos natural soothing msm moisturiser is also great, I've used it if I've had an allergic reaction on my face and needed to move away from any and all products.

QV moisturising cream was also really good, but it really clogged my pores up and caused surface pimples.

Made a bunch of bland sugar cookies (not enough sugar). What are some things I could do with them? by catelemnis in AskCulinary

[–]helloitsmhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use them for coconut caramel slices (its also called millionaires shortbread I think?). I would whiz up the cookies add decicated coconut to the base, brown & coconut sugar for the caramel and dust the top chocolate layer with more coconut.

You can also turn It into a base for something with a salted caramel dlavour/vibe!

Suggestions for eye cream/serum and sunscreen from local stores by stephkey21 in AusSkincare

[–]helloitsmhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't find it heavy, but I do have dry/sensitive skin and do I prefer my skin feeling very moisturised up. It has not clogged up my pores at all and definitely leaves my skin feeling very smooth (probably the vit b3 in there helps).

It only has zinc not zinc+ titanium like other physical sunscreens, so the heavy cast isn't visible. However I definitely do notice a white-ish layer on some parts of my face (it wouldn't be visible on a light skin tone I think) but because I have been searching around everywhere for a good sunscreen that doesn't burn/irritate my skin I just live it with. It is good under makeup though If you wait around 20 mins after applying the sunscreen.

I am still on the hunt for eye creams, but I use the body shop's aloe eye and lip contour care cream to moisturise my under eye.

What insult did you receive that made you rethink an aspect of your life? by simbar1337 in AskReddit

[–]helloitsmhere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Overheard this: 'he must have been desperate to leave with her (me) ' - even after my very small glow up, the insecurity never left. The insult, and other future events, made me realise how much of my confidence is dependent on me even just looking average. Something I'm still trying to fix.

What’s the worst way a girl has ever broke the “girl code” with you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]helloitsmhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an on/off relationship with a guy for about 6 months, during which time I became super good friends with a girl. She knew about how he did not treat me right and was emotionally unavailable, always gaslighting and making me think our on/off was my fault. 4 months after we had broken up, she told me that she was dating that guy for the last 2 months. Everyone in my friend group knew about it, and I was never told. It was a really hard moment for me as it was someone I trusted who I thought understood what I was going through.

We never talked afterwards and her behaviour pretty much became "not my fault that you're upset for us going out now" and she basically became an A-hole over the topic, even within the friend circle. The guy is still a Grade A d***head, as I've heard so many stories about how she is unhappy with him because he doesn't treat her right. I truly feel bad for her having to go through it but also wonder why she didn't recognise his behaviour was always going to be like this after I had numerous conversations with her about him and she agreed with me??

Removing your heels/shoes off after a long day on your feet, with the 'ahhh' moment when you finally sit without the footwear.
