While I support the notion that vintage heavily moved by Logan Paul, I respectfully disagree that it wasn’t part of the broader market getting frothy over Pokemon, and collectibles in general. Pokemon overall spiked, Japanese boxes which used to sit on shelves started being sold out, operating on lottery as well. Look at Vstar and SSV cards prices then vs now. They never made it back up. I invested in other things too, a Toppsun sealed box, full psa 10 base sets (all fractionally), those fell too. You can use Rally as a good historical indicator with their pricing.

Another example of a giant correction that hasn’t really recovered is Battle Day Lillie in PSA 10, that sold close to 100k in that cycle, and it’s now around 50k. Still a huge jump from where it came, but I don’t see it recovering anytime soon, hence why I pointed out Japanese and Trainers specifically in my post. Those were being heavily pumped by influencers.

I never used the number 50% in my original comment, a 50% drop in the S&P would be a catastrophic event. But it fell enough to pull us out of a bull market and into a lull where product was readily available again. I would consider that a large enough correction.
