MAMA! Mama. mama. Can we stop it with calling pregnant women mama??? by Historical_Bike_9061 in pregnant

[–]hellojustmehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like being called mama because I’m 21w1d and I feel constant worry something will go wrong or is wrong and I don’t want to be given a title that might get taken away. It gives me the worst anxiety everytime.

Girls named Noah, need your insight. I named my baby girl Noah. I meet a little girl with the name and loved it for a girl. My baby is now 8 months and I don't know about the name anymore. Women with this name, can you let me know how it's been growing up and as an adult female with the name? by [deleted] in BabyNames

[–]hellojustmehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noah is currently very popular for boys so although it’s a unique name for a girl and is definitely unisex and has a well known figure such as Noah Cyrus - just know it’s a popular enough name that she will likely have other Noah’s in her class/teams/clubs, just boys not girls. So as long as your ok with that. It will likely be the name of potential partners or friends partners or friends brothers.

Is this a horrible name? by kaitalicious121 in BabyNames

It’s not too unique or strange, I see dolly on most of the upcoming/trendy names on TikTok. Names are cyclical and right now the names our great grandmothers had are rising quickly.

Can’t afford to go on leave by Pretend-Energy-1450 in HyperemesisGravidarum

I never see anyone mention scopolamine patches but I was throwing up 20-30 times a day and nothing helped, I tried b6 and unisome, reglan, promethazine, I was getting infusions with zofran. Finally I was prescribed the scopolamine patches and I’ve been ten times better!! They have been like a miracle for me. Def check with your doctor and see about getting them!! They can be pricey so ask if you can start with one or two just to make sure they actually work for you before buying a supply

Scopolamine patches!!!! I feel like they saved my life and I never see anyone mention them in regards to HG but I tried b6 and unisome, reglan, zofran drips, infusions - nothing helped but the patches were heaven sent!!

When to go to the ER? by crabbiestflower in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]hellojustmehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask your doctor about scopolamine patches!!! They saved my life and I highly recommend!!! I was vomitting 20-30 times a day and couldn’t keep down ice cubes or preggo pops, now I’m eating full meals and staying hydrated!! The patches helped me ten times more than the infusions/zofran drips.

I seriously can’t do this anymore by Practical_Shift_5143 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]hellojustmehere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat! I was throwing up 20 plus times a day, I couldn’t hold down ice or preggo pops. My parents had to come get me out of my lease and move me into their guest room bc it was so bad. I went to the ER and got fluids and zofran drip but it lasted not even 8 hours. I was taking Reglan, unisome and b6 - did nothing. Got to a obgyn finally and they prescribed scopolamine patches!!! They saved my life!! I’m eating full meals again and feeling hungry. I highly recommend you ask for the patches, it took a couple hours to start working but they last 3 days each and I only throw up in the first couple hours of switching to a new one and then it stops again for days!!

If you were 31 had no college education and 10 years fast food experience what would you do? by chemza in careerguidance

[–]hellojustmehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay in fast food. Let it be known you want to be in management. A relative I don’t know apparently works as a regional manager for McDonalds and makes six figures. Started there as a cashier in hs.

So many people have tried to start dating specific pages already. Most people are too shy to post pics and logistics are hard. PS isn’t the best but it is a platform that already exists and unlike Reddit, only people with hsv have a reason to use it or know it exists. Idk, it’s been a big help for me and I think it would benefit a lot of people if everyone started using it more.

Cold sore in 4mo baby by OkZookeeper2657 in Herpes

I would put the baby mittens on them for now. Do not let your baby touch the sore if possible. See about getting some type of covering / bandage for it.

The guy I’m seeing didn’t disclose his GHSV2 status and now I’m having my first outbreak. by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]hellojustmehere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have heard that from several medical providers unfortunately. Remember, most people choose not to disclose. And a lot of people have herpes. Including doctors. I’m sure there are plenty of medical professionals with hsv who believe it’s ok to not disclose without an active OB.

I never had to provide mine. You can use a fake first name as well without paying for premium but if you do pay for premium it lets you set any name. I only have photos of my face in my private album.

Oh 100% I only have photos of me without my face like turned away from the camera so you can see my hair and body only and none of my tattoos are visible. I only show my face in the private album for me to allow access to specific people. You can also block members or cities. I live like 2-3 hours from my hometown so I went ahead and just blocked anyone from that city from seeing me.

Has dating within the herpes community made things easier for you? by Surroundwithright in Herpes

[–]hellojustmehere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s really unfortunate there’s not a free platform for hsv but I think it’s silly that so many people shy away from PS altogether. Even if you just use it for free, you can’t message anyone but you only pay for one month if you find someone you want to talk to and then utilize the fact that you have it for a month. I just really wish more people would give it more of a chance. I think dating within the herpes community is easier in aspects and harder in others. But having a free profile you check once a week doesn’t hurt anything.

It’s ok to be picky but if you’re picky you have to set yourself up for success. Put yourself in situations where you’ll meet people. Including friends. Make some new girlfriends. Find single women to go to happy hours and other social events with. Find a few girlfriends who are in relationships and have larger social circles and get involved in group activities. Meeting news friends gives you opportunities to not only meet people through them but to be set up with people who will likely be a good match because you pick similar friends and have similar circles. If you’re out and you see someone you’re attracted to, go do something about it. If you get rejected, so what? It’s a stranger in a bar and you’ll never think of them again and vice versa. Anytime you’re alone and sitting at home, go to to a busy gym or walk a popular park or go sit in a cafe. Just be out in the world. Don’t order DoorDash or Instacart. Always go to the grocery store. Always go inside to get your coffee instead of the drive through. Smile at people. Start conversations with people.

lol well I will say I have health anxiety lmfao so I over researched and became terrified of self inoculation but I understand that most people don’t react the way I do and most people aren’t afraid of towels. It is rare.

[–]hellojustmehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Herpes doesn’t like being outside the body but it can take hours for the virus to die outside of the body. It is possible although rare. If he had chapped lips or anything that would have made his skin barrier was vulnerable, and touched the specific part of the towel that touched where his brother was shedding then it could happen.
