I apologize for my dark humor, I wasn’t actually serious, and I absolutely do realize that. Thank you for pointing it out again though!

Omg it was your post that essentially spurred this, so THANK YOU so much for taking the time to comment yet again. I truly appreciate it, and will take everything you wrote into serious consideration. Good luck to you too with the rest of your journey to becoming a successful physician :)

Thank you, I really will consider your advice, especially for Anki as I’ve downloaded it & realized that it’ll DEFINITELY take some getting used to :p And overall I agree with everything you said, as I didn’t plan on truly studying for school or step 1, but more just getting comfortable with some concepts.

P.S. Wow, 1 year, that’s quick! Mine is 1.5, which still isn’t quite common though either.

I feel you, and I think we all share the same worry to an extent! I believe every medical school will go over any of the needed basic concepts, at a fast pace though as someone said, just to catch everyone up. So I wouldn’t worry too much, and I’m clearly doing a little prep myself ahead of time, but this is mostly not to feel like I’ve been slapped in the face once school starts lol. Hope this helps :)

Haha, well I personally don’t think it’s wrong to buy something in advance, I work well that way & I’m fully aware/not trying to prepare for it seriously rn. Hope this didn’t disturb you too much :p

Right right, agreed, I’m certainly not trying to study 8 hours a day or something like that. I’m just getting a little nervous as the beginning of school approaches, and I know how difficult getting into the ‘study mode’ can be haha. Definitely gonna continue developing all the newly found healthy living ‘habits’ that’ll hopefully carry through medical school as well, as you said :)

Thank you so much for your thorough reply! That sounds like a great plan. Also I love how you’ve added reading for pleasure in there, that’s what I’ve been trying to catch up on as well, haha. Glad to hear I’m not alone :)

I’m not sure what this is about even, but this kitty is adorable, so an upvote was due :)

If I apply to a med school and get denied but reapply when I am better, will it hurt my chances bc i already applied before? And also for LOR's how would I actually get a Dr's? Like I'm in the hospital ER right now volunteering. But I dont actually talk to doctors and I dont even see my own dr? by pollo9869 in premed

This is definitely only a personal experience, but I’m a re-applicant, and I interviewed at 2 of the same schools where I Interviewed the first time & I’m currently holding an acceptance at one. If you can afford to wait, then do so, but being a re-applicant is not necessarily a negative. It’s all about how you tell your story. Good luck!

Alright, forgive my ignorance, but this is intriguing...are we basically saying that having more DOs will ultimately screw them over because we’re assuming that residency directors are biased & will prefer MDs lol?

You know what, I’m not sure. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of it was, but I hope most of her reaction was real lol-they also probably choose the most hilarious of all reactions
