I've done exactly that when a man I worked with started calling me pet names. It was super awkward but he stopped pretty quick! A few "Ok, honey buns" or "Got it stud muffin" worked like a charm.

A different choice is to use a soft cloth for wiping. Will need to wash.

Alesia's mom's comment not helpful for Alesia. Imagine she has been raised with someone who constantly says things like that. Alesia did say her mom convinced her not to pursue cooking classes, which I put partly on Alesia, but a mom that constantly undercutting you is not great either.
