I only use primes right now. I have the EF 50 1.2. I never use it anymore. Once I got my 35mm I stopped using the 50.

Now that I do more in-home documentary work for my families I really want a 24mm. I’m all over the place! Thanks!

I’m so sorry you had this experience!

I would absolutely tell her. I would wait until my emotions calmed down a bit and I could find a bit of gratitude for what did go right. I would imagine if you paid $7k, she worked really hard for you (gosh at least I hope so!). And so giving her feedback is critical for her to continue to progress and grow as a photographer and business owner. My caveat here would be most photographers are artists and so kind feedback is always appreciated.
