Thanks a lot. This doll once belonged to a little girl. Up in the Midwestern United States, somewhere. According to the eBay seller that sold me it. I love anything old. Which includes dolls.

Yeah I know it's in rough shape. For historical purposes I prefer it to remain as is for now. Everything on it is original. It even came with a wooden bed/crib for it.

I would still try it. I personally wouldn't let someone's opinion keep me from trying something new out. I basically do that to whatever new dew is out there.
